Saw this live on German TV in 1977 when I was 15. I had just started playing guitar myself. Rory‘s performance that night changed my life. I am still addicted to playing guitar to this very day. Thank you, Rory, you were and still are the greatest for me.

@ Glenn Canale......I couldn't agree more, the Blues Hall of Fame is where Rory belongs. To me at least, the RRHOF smacks of commercialism, (not to mention all that goes with it) and to put such an exceptional (and rare) Blues/Rock talent as Rory in with pop stars, boy bands and one-hit wonders is hardly doing the man's memory justice. No, Rory has without doubt, earned a place amongst HIS heroes and influences.

Rory. Sadly missed. He was absolutely superb as a 'live' guitarist and showed terrific range and passion. I recall a storming "Souped Up Ford" when he strapped on his Telecaster and let rip at Hammersmith Odeon years ago. Equally superb some years later at The Forum in Kentish Town. Sadly, I later saw him again at The Forum and realised that he was ill and told the bouncers as I left. Great Talent.
