I have a coil machine and I was doing some rune letters, I start the tattoo at 5v but the skin was not taking the in I was that I was damaging my skin so I stop. But was my speed to fast than. I use Vaseline to apply on my skin.

Is a pound of flesh worth the money or are there better ones? Got my first a.p.o.f. Today and it seems ok but way different from the cheap Amazon skins I’ve been using

A pound of flesh is my go to when I have the money for a large flat sheet. (I cut the sheet up in squares or rectangles no bigger than my hand and place practice line stencils on there). I don’t buy the limbs or hamsters on there though. But I’d say it is worth the money for the quality. You can’t go wrong with it but it’s not as budget friendly as a 3mm from Amazon. I do both. Amazon has 3mm 20pcs for $38 while APoF has 3mm 16x24in for $60-80. People say ReelSkin is good but I have not used it.

@@michealsowell9970 Does APof take ink well? I believe so. Though I’ve focused on lining (mainly) and packing. Unless the skin is thinner than 3mm, I don’t notice much difference. I mean, I like the feel of APoF. Hm, APof appears my shiny while the Amazon skins are more dullish.
