I'm oldschool with the 15 coil machines,the space in-between the contact bar and coils is how far the needle sticks out your tube ,dime size between for liner ,nickel for shader, book of Spaulding tattoo is a good read ,just ignore sterile stuff in the book ,it's way outdated
