Bits of lace/doilies, or even one larger piece of doily, would make an excellent tail, too. Love this idea and it could be applied to butterflies, too. Even a crazy hairdo or hat on a Timmy paper doll. ("Remarkable bird, the Norwegian Blue, idn'it, ay? Beautiful plumage!")

Happy New year sweetheart, all the best for 2023! Saw Barbara's video, just don't have the time to watch everyone. Loving the fibres you have, definitely hoardable😍. Yes I think that's a kestrel, the kingfisher would be stunning too! You can get some good packs of mixed fabric scraps pretty cheaply. Lol my projects seem to grow as big as that turnip🙈. The steps are very helpful when your mojo has gone and for your 'engineered' pockets. Yeah I'm a procrastinator🙈. Very cool project, if I ever use birds in a project I'll be adding these 😁.
