@@jhall2281 You hit the nail on the head. Brown is starting to prove himself. But Tatum is still shooting 40% from the field. It also helps that Kyrie is not the most stable player. But people want to make this Celtics team out to be the Shaq-Kobe Lakers but they are more akin to the 2004 Detroit Pistons, solid at every position. Holiday, White and Porzingis are all out playing Irving (as are Tatum and Brown). The Celtics are simply a lot deeper than Dallas. As for the Bucks, the traded Holiday to the West Coast. They should have done a three team deal to insure he stayed there but they were too anxious to get a deal done.

They have all the makings of a team that's gonna be competing for chips for years to come but even as a Celtics fan I'm gonna say it's a bit early for dynasty talk with this group, let's get one first. I'm taking nothing away from them, this has been an incredible run but they def had a much easier than normal walk through the east and were fortunate to draw Dallas in the Finals. I was hoping we'd get the Mavs as we match up well against them. Denver, or even Minnesota, would have presented more matchup problems imo. Here's to hoping we get it done in game 4 but every season is a new chapter. If and when we do win the rest of the NBA is gonna be trying to construct rosters and game plans to beat the Cs and it'll be the first time this group has the main target on their backs.

This proves the point I've been making about Luka for years: He runs his teams JUST like Lebron and that's exactly why he wont win unless he dedicates himself to playing defense. Kyrie is NOT to blame just because he had 2 bad games. They were flooding that man on defense. They gave him the same treatment Dallas gave Anthony Edwards. Boston is showing that if all players get touches, the stars catch a better rhythm. Dallas plays heavy iso ball and in title runs, that kills chemistry and wears your stars out. The Celtics have been on the cusp of winning for awhile now, they been the best team in the league, and they added Holiday and Porzingis who both were amazing on their previous teams. I'm really shocked people are surprised by this. Boston is clearly the best team in the league far and above the rest. Mavs have been and still are the underdogs. If they get swept i'm honestly not surprised.

Thank You . I believe that Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown, will go down as some of the best all around players to ever play in the NBA. It’s easy to find fault. Each and every year both players have improved, in shot selection, passing, and defense. In fact the same applies to the role players, Payton Pritchard, Sam Houser, etc. I hope this unit can remain together for as long as is possible.

Back when the Celtics lost in the finals, with Tatum and brown, i knew the only question mark was whether they would be given the time necessary to perfect their offensive rotations. That question has been answered. And I suspect that they will dominate the east for the next couple of years to come. I’m thinking 3 to 5. Which is wild. I’m a laker fan. But what they have done is made an all star team with a player in each of the 5 positions capable of playing together regardless of personal differences. And the fact that they are all mostly either young or are just hitting their prime excluding al horfred(hope I spelled that right) is truly exciting to watch.

I am a Bulls fan, I hate the Celtics. But when it came to choosing who would win, it seemed so obvious that the question didn't need to be asked. And then suddenly everyone was picking Dallas to the point that I really started questioning if I had missed something. The Celtics were healthier, had better scorers, multiple elite perimeter defenders, and at the time were getting Porzingis back. It wasn't just the NBA media, as polls on youtube were 70% for the Mavs.

Chucks point about iso ball with Tatum and brown is a valid take. They often resort to dribbling down the shot clock then resorting to a sidestep contested 3 or another terrible shot. It’s frustrating to watch sometimes
