Genius. Absolutely perfect harmony and timing, and a free-wheeling conversational wit that reminds me a bit of TMBG, from before there was a TMBG.

IVE ADDED THE LYRICS. FUN TO TRY TO SING ALONG Roches - The Largest Elizabeth In The World Didn't you ever feel like the largest Elizabeth in the World? Usually at a time when the boy is oblivious to the girl I read in the paper the other day this has been happening to everbody more and more The scientists are on the case but they still haven't figured out what it is that it is happening for Slow down, slow down, slow down Wouldn't you like to feel like yourself after suffering so many years years years? If you were asked to the party by somebody else you wouldn't be sitting home in tears Or maybe you're one of those interesting people who don't go out but they get their best work done By keeping themselves in the house off the street and away from the scene when it's time for the rest to have fun Slow down, slow down, slow down Come on, slow down, slow down They say the world's over Goodbye see you next time You don't have to go oooo oooo ooooo oooo What if the after effect of the terrible bomb is unusual beyond belief? Wouldn't you rather the whole population had listened to somebody like the old Indian Chief? Turn it around like a rig and go back to that simple truck stop on the way to a fortunate world You might be thelargestElizabeth but El iza beth is still a good name to have if you're a girl Slow down, come on, slow down Slow down, slow down, slow down Slow down, slow down, slow down

When this came out I memorized it and put it in my fast songs repertoire with "We Sell Everything" by Leon Rosselson and "The Elements" by Tom Lehrer. Go, Terre! 💖✨🎶

Even back then they saw the trend towards obesity just catching on.... and now it's taken over. Society really screws with the heads of young women who are fertile and are mixed up because they get conflicting messages from too many places... they just want to be young and in love and mate and have children with a nice stable guy like themselves...hopefully

I thought the title was a reference to the town of Elizabeth New Jersey. It would be the literal, largest Elizabeth in the world and conveniently new where they grew up.
