In Skari's defense if he just rolled better that unit should have been able to move in and charge when it came up in game

Yeah the dismembark thingy it's really not clear, as it's not a part of the movement, but an ability the vehicle has, it's really hard to understand what they intended, but I'd rule "yes" since if it didnt, giving dark eldar transports deep strike would be completely moot

For anyone who is wondering, I completely forgot that I can increase my ap by one within 9”. That would’ve helped a lot! It was my second time with the army in 10th.

You helped give us a great battle report with a stunning army. You did good ! Even Skari who is a very experienced player made an error with he raider, small mistakes happen. I assume you're painting up some CIB :)

Also i beleive you cant disembark after the transport moved and charge with wyches. The land raider has a special assault ramp rule that lets you do this.

1:14 why is Lilith standing on two bases if I may ask? Did they change her base size to the bigger one? I have the same older model so far and I think shes also on the smaller base there..

So the new lelith is on a bigger base, and stands taller. So i put the old one on a taller large base for LOS purposes mainly.

Im a little lost how to interpret that the wytches could disembark and also declare a charge after deepstriking. if the raider started the match on the table, you would not be able to move the raider, disembark, and declare a charge with the wytches. therefore, why would you be able to do so after deepstriking? deepstriking shouldnt give all transports the landraider ability to move and still declare a charge. i thought the question for whether or not a landraider allows units to disembark after entering from reserves was a controversial rule bc it can be argued that disembarking occurs in step 1 of the movement phase. but a raider should count as having moved when it deepstrikes, and therefore the units inside even if they pop out to shoot, would not be eligible to charge. and even then the controversial rule should be if they can disembark within 9inches to shoot which i dont believe is the case bc otherwise fire dragons which have a 9in range melta would be VERY spicy coming out of a falcon.

Disembarking from a Transport has no mention of cannot be within 9". It's simply Engagement Range. So if you could come out a Deepstriking unit, you damn well can be within 9". The transport was the unit that deepstriked, not the unit within it. However - I'm pretty it's been ruled you cannot come out a Deepstriking vehicle the turn it comes in. Hence why it's best to always Rapid Ingress them.

@@ProAntagonistYT the only thing that's a bit weird is in the rules commentary. If you state your Deepstriking unit is within STRATEGIC Reserves, you can then bring it in as such (so via board edge) instead of Deepstriking. I guess that could be useful in some situations where you need to be near a board edge and there is a juicy target? It's a rule that's probably always overlooked though as it's in the commentary, not the core.

Great battle report. The Tau really missed the third CIB on the crisis suits instead of the AFP. CIBs love dark eldar because against most of the infantry it doesn't really need to overcharge. Think another 3 crisis suits would be better than one of the riptides. What allows the wyches to charge after disembarking from a transport that has moved ? I'm sure I've just missed some rule.

(The tau player here). I purely didn’t have the guns haha. The list actually has three more suits and one less riptide. Had to improvise to make it WYSIWYG. 30 more CIBs are on the way!

Yeah, as soon as i saw 2 riptides i knew who was gonna loose, they REALLY cant do sh*t against anything, legit the first time a pirhana is favorable to a riptide.
