The thing is that this version is more "pop" because of arpeggios and lack of rythm variety, so is more pleasent to the ear but is not very jazzy. Jazz is cool and much more interesting but it is a little bit difficult to enjoy if you listen for the first time.

I played this for my grandmas funeral- I had never heard the song prior. I had no music and 2 days to learn it (she requested the song in a note that she had written for when she passed away). So I scrambled to at least find chords for it, and then I found your version, and did a modified version of it because it’s so beautiful (since in short time), and it turned out really well. Oh, I don't know how to describe this. I'd love to see him in person, the way the left hand moves, it's absolutely entrancing. Buenos días Jose Mª. En primer lugar, enhorabuena, es una versión maravillosa la que usted realiza sobre esta pieza, más que interpretada en el mundo de la música moderna y de la improvisación. Aún así su balada tiene algo atractivo :) mis felicitaciones. En segundo lugar escribo este mensaje, porque como muchos otros antes, han buscado la partitura o transcripción de su trabajo, infructuosamente. Sin embargo, he leído algunos de sus comentarios: que si la había sacado de oído, que si no la tenía disponible... En el video se ve como usted tiene una partitura delante del piano y como menciona es un arreglo sobre la obra de Carl Doy, que a su vez tendría base sobre el trabajo de Richard Clayderman... en fin, que un arreglo así, hablando de músico a músico, es muy difícil de trabajar sin una transcripción fidedigna. Obviamente no le voy a intentar convencer a usted para que nos la haga llegar, porque respeto su tiempo y trabajo, pero como me dijo hace ya unos años un muy buen profesor del conservatorio basándose en "El elogio de la copia" de Marcus Boon: "Copiar es el mejor modo de elogiar". Es hermoso que alguien, desconocido, de otra nacionalidad incluso, conecte con su trabajo y quiera dedicar tiempo de su vida en aprender lo que usted hizo previamente e interpretarlo sin entender de fronteras. Sinceramente me apena que su versión se quede en los fríos altavoces de un ordenador. Espero reconsidere la opción de escanear la transcripción y dejarnos a todos los melómanos disfrutar de su trabajo. Un grandísimo y respetuoso saludo. Nuevamente felicidades. Eloy García
