Excited to use this high lift jack. My welder will put it together and it’s going on a 2nd gen Tundra with a C4 bumper in the front and a fabricated overland under budget tutorial rear bumper modified from the Tacoma you tube tutorial. It’ll make working on the vehicle so much easier with a couple of jack stands.

yes, I totally agree. I was looking at my hi-lift jack yesterday, mounted on the hood, and thinking "if I have to change a tire, that's gonna suck". So I need to get another Tauler for my Jeep! And thanks, I will have to check out the C4 bumpers

Thanks for the video guys! Just a few tips for ya. You can reduce the likelyhood of the head of the jack crashing into the body by minimizing the 'beam' height above the nose with a different combination of foot and nose position. This makes 'casting' off the Tauler jack much easier. You can also sometimes pull a hard shackle off and 'loop' it through the nose across the bar ( the jack in this case on the toyota would be 90 to the shackle bow and truck bumper ). For use of sloped geometric bumpers along with being able to lift directly at the wheel, the Chain Nose Kit for the Tauler Jack may be worth looking into for your applications also ). For use in a receiver hitch, the Tauler jack pairs nicely with my Soft Shackle Receive adapter. Finally, I really don't suggest using a side wind jack with an impact gun, you will shear the drive pin and/or chip the gears. If you want to mess with an impact version, build one on a top wind jack. There will be accelerated wear on the acme screw, but you won't break anything. Regards. Brennan Metcalf

@anesthesiadreamin a 5/8 size shackle will fit through the nose of the Tauler Jack either direction. If you are using a 3/4 shackle on your bumpers, just throw a 5/8 in your trail bag. That will let you bridge to the larger shackle on the bumper and it will rotate the jack inline with the bumper mounting tab. I experimented early on with a narrow nose and found it to very unstable for all the other stuff. I hope that helps. Bee Safe.

@brennanmetcalf thank you brennan, this is the exact information I've been looking for. I'll try to push this post to the top so people can find it easily. If I make a video on this in the future, I will make sure to include what you said. I ended up giving these two to my nephew and son in law, and I still need to buy one for myself! There are a ton of farm/ranch and rescue uses for this also
