The taunt starter sets in a position trophy in hand ready to be given and the person who presses G plays this taunt while the original taunt starter salutes him. That sounds like an awesome way to cheer a pybro or a good medic. Tho it would take away the special sigil on the trophy gimmick. that is still an awesome taunt

Same, Zesty hates taunts that aren't even taunts but at the end of the day, being able to express yourself with whatever the game adds next is all the more worthwhile. He really needs to start accepting that things will not always go his way no matter how much he acts like a gamer version of Gordon Ramsay since he at one time did a one-liner because a vast majority of content was what he wanted.

The mercenaries aren't blank slates, they're supposed to have their own personalities and backgrounds. All these unfitting taunts and cosmetics make it easier for players to express themselves, sure, but it comes at the cost of diluting the characters.
