Nice to see some new camping gear. I'd like to say that now we are in spring I'm starting to look forward to some wild camping again, but given it snowed on Dartmoor last night, it appears that winter is still here! 🙂

Interesting to see it this late in the year! It won't be long till we are out enjoying the Moor once again!

The absolute most important instruction point of this video was how to deflat and pack back up. Many How to video neglect that process. Thank you so much, I just bought this pad😊

Good video - I've got the old Neo Air and it's nice to see developments. It would be good to see it set up and someone lying down on it (both back and side) so it can be seen in use.

HI man, Can you inflate both new xlite and xtherm and compare how loud they crinkle? Would be an awesome vid as such comparison does not exist online / on yt.

merci pour votre travail.. justement je voulais savoir les qualités du nouveau xtherm nxt.. c'est un de mes futurs achats pour mieux être préparés au froid de l'hiver.

For the truly ultra light, I recommend using the inflation sac as your backpack and sleep system.

Could folding it be more pack efficient ? As opposed to rolling
@tauntonleisure Жыл бұрын
Possibly, its not something I have tried myself!
@robertwilliams2762 Жыл бұрын
I think folding would make it weaker at the fold points over time.

I bought it and in my first use in cold conditions (-14°C) the pump sack was torn in the spot where the valve was...so i pumped the pad with my mouth in order not get freeze.. First use moisture got inside the pad... How bad effect will be on my pad...is there any advise for pad maintenance in that circumstances?
@tauntonleisure Жыл бұрын
If you inflate and deflate the pad a few times at home, with a pup-sack or pump, this will expel the moisture trapped inside.
@RichardKelly-l1y Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the review; the inflate timer and count was helpful. I would like one more thing: someone laying on the pad and moving from side to side. Every review I have seen the reviewer stands or kneels by the pad and pushes the pad with their hand. The noise reduction is the main upgrade so a true usage noise demonstration would be most useful. The official thermarest demonstration, which you reference, also just shows a small diameter push. Before putting out $200+ I would like to see/hear someone get on the dadburn thing and roll over.

I will look at putting a YT short up asap of us using the pad as you requested

We have an original xlite arriving at the office on Friday so we should have a comparison up on Tuesday. We look forward to hearing your thoughts

I wonder how much more prone it is to leaking or puncture with the lights material
@tauntonleisure Жыл бұрын
As a company we haven't seen any issues so far. You obviously have to be mindful of where you used these lighter materials but so far they seem to have performed really well!!
@TheGrumpyExplorer Жыл бұрын
Has the noise also been reduced in the xtherm or just in the xlite?
@tauntonleisure Жыл бұрын
It has a little but not as substantial a change when compared to the xlite

should i buy the neo air xlite it in MAX large or in Mummy large??? it has the same pack size right?
@tauntonleisure Жыл бұрын
I would imagine the MAX Large will be a slight larger pack size in comparison to the mummy due to the extra fabric needed. As a result it’ll also be slightly heavier about 119g
@Pasequale100 Жыл бұрын
@@tauntonleisure which one would you choose and why dear mister?
@tauntonleisure Жыл бұрын
@Pasequale100 bit of a personal decision, if a reduction in weight and pack size is essential then the mummy is the one to go for. If you don’t mind the extra weight and pack size and like the idea of having a larger sleeping area or roll around in the night go for the MAX. For me personally I tend to not move much in the night and would appreciate the smaller pack size so I’d go for the mummy

Nice, but you should say that the loudness of the new nxt Xtherm is the same like in the old one… unfrotunately.
@tauntonleisure Жыл бұрын
Thank you for pointing that out, I will mention it in the description for people to find. Its a shame it hasn't got a little quieter I agree

I got only the X-Therm NXT and there is no perceptible sound. No chips, no crackle. In comparision, the last night uses somebody the old x-lite in a tent 15 meters away, and it was noticeable for me :)
