When u want to strat bomb, u just just bomb the infrastructure of the capital (Berlin), when the supply of the capital is low or even on zero, they have no supply everywhere. Then u should also bomb as many military factories as possible everywhere. Because the AI will setup their production queue with all the planes at the bottom of all the equipment. So every damaged factory means they produce less planes. I did this as the netherlands from indonesia (for the achievement). Because of all the bombing i got the german airforce down to like ~3k planes at the end of the war (usually at this point they would probably have like 30k+ planes), they were simply not producing any planes anymore, because all the factories which were assigned to plane production were damaged. and when u kill the german supply and their airforce, the UK, USA and soviets will defeat them for u at some point.

The german civil war is a chance based event when the allies choose to defend Czechoslovakia. Three things can happen: 1. Attempted assassination of Adolf but it fails and the war goes on normally (most likely to happen) 2. Successful assassination of Adolf and then Himler will take over and the war goes on normally 3. A civil war breaks out in Germany and the leader may or may not change (least likely to happen)

I have seen some other videos with a similar concept, though not exactly the same. From what I saw, the best route is to try and kill as many German planes as you can BEFORE they attack the USSR. You will need your military factories much earlier than you did here. I would go for fighters and not for heavies. You can challenge them over France and the Low Countries in range, and Germany takes that bait before Barbarossa happens. Use Strategic Bombing Doctrine. For bombers only make strategic ones to bomb Brandenburg and anywhere they have synths (event drops one in Saxony I think). You will take losses due to no escorts but the bombers can shoot down intercepting fighters as well. Use your navy on day 1 of the war to eliminate every convoy Germany has. You can't stop the Romanian Oil, but you can stop them from getting rubber which they need for plane construction to replenish their losses. Also, whenever you trade for oil at any point, trade with USSR and not USA. USSR desperately needs every civ factory it can get to build up to survive. If you can kill enough planes and cripple their ability to replace them before they attack USSR, then the Soviets can maintain air superiority. Lend lease them planes if you have enough. Beyond that, hope RNG works in your favor on the Eastern Front.

I'm not sure if you'd want to re-try it, but I saw on another video where they went into the game files and saw that the German's put their Air Force production at the bottom of their military factory output. It would be interesting to see what happens if you strat bomb their mil's to deflate their AF recovery, which helps with air superiority, and allows you to demolish their industry faster - as well as helps the other nations with air superiority.

Once I did something like an "airplanes only" while I was creating a mechanized army as Britain. I started the war with 3000 "Hurricanes" to destroy the fighter core of the Luftwaffe. I did that by winning the Battle of Britain and by strat bombing france. At this point almost all off the fighter command was Spitfire. From there one, they never rebuilded their fighter force and every time I had 500 Stra bombers in reserve I would start bombing a new region of german territory. By 1943 USSR was pushing then back and the US landed in normandy, by wich point the mechanized army was ready, was just a metter of steamrolling Germany. The trick is: Destroy theyer fighter core at the begining, so you always have numerical advantage, then build Strat and upgrade the range of the Spitfire/Spitful. After some point, theere will by so little fighters that your bombers will be able to defend itself. Never build CAS, never build heavy fighter.

100 people have probably already mentioned this, but if you don’t defeat Czechoslovakia within a certain period of time of going to war with them (I think 6 months?) that causes the civil war to fire. I think it’s based on a historical coup plan the German resistance leader Hans Oster created, based on the Allies backing up Czechoslovakia instead of letting them be annexed. It’s neat to see this super rare event pop up in a situation that’s very advantageous to Germany!

You should really be training your air wings in this as to greatly slow down your losses. Also Germany will be fucked on supply in Russia regardless of your bombing due to battles, I think the best strategy would be to bomb civs in Germany so they can't repair the inf in Russia. You probably could stop the Germans in the Benelux if you built more mils before the war as well. As long as you slow down the German advance in Benelux with air superiority, the French should be about to put troops there before they capitulate which will stop France from falling

If you record to MP4 format it will always corrupt if you crash unexpectedly but if you record in FLV you'll get the same quality once converted to mp4 but it will not have the file closing issue.

The meta is CAS and Air Superiority tactic. With that you can spam 20w divisions with s-artillery and s-AT and conquer literally the whole world. Although heavy fighters are trash cause you can do regular fighters. The thing is also to do lend-lease for the Allies and USSR. Soviets have huge problems with their production due to the purge, so instead of losing your production to nothing like strats of heavy fighters you could just do regulars and send them to the soviets🤷🏻‍♂️.

Focussing infrastructure was a good Idea imo, but the place was not: the axis was wide and alterniative routes than through Western Poland existed. why not retry it while aiming for infrastructure around Berlin, so the suply would be diminished from the source, to any location?

That is actually one of the rarest and coolest events! Because of how and when the war got started, there was a small chance for a "conspiracy" event to fire. What then happened is that Hitler got assassinated and well, I've actually had this event happen to me while playing. Because of how small Democratic Germany was when it spawned I'm certain that the AI sided with the Nazis in the event. Doesn't affect much except the generals and land they get! Very cool event, great to see it in a video!

The video is nice. However, wouldn't air force be much more usable in smaller wings, @Taureor ? I mean I used to spam those pesky 3 plane wings by the thousands (luckily it's simple these days to make a 3 plane wing and just duplicate). Mighty effective. And having that 30k planes in the air with 3 plane wings gets pretty... intense, airbattles.

This isn't planes only, it's Navy only. HMS Britannia is one big aircraft carrier, workshop, refueling station and armament factory!

Strategic nukes are virtually useless in my experience (unless fighting Japan), yes Tactical nukes are arguably OP. You can cause millions of casualties pretty easily just by sniping large stacks of enemy units. It takes a lot of nukes and probably leads to longer games, but it is the easiest way (I have found) to get any enemy country to 0 manpower. In your case, the only way to use nukes reliably would be to glass German units on the Eastern front, but this relies on gaining air superiority *and* the Soviets holding out until you have the bomb. If they have held out that long, they are probably going to win anyway, so with planes only, nukes are nigh useless, yes. But when you are holding a front and cut through enemy front lines like butter, nuking as you go, they are glorious.

Instead of heavy fighters and bombers maybe you could use light fighters and CAS and try to make france not capitulate (still as the united kingdom). Alternatively you could try carriers, even if they are pesky naval units.
