Taurus hit it out of the park as far as looks and price point on these. I have the snubbie regular spur-less hammer in matte black and put the viridian laser on it. Love the gun even though it's not a S&W but not far behind it in trigger pull and accuracy. The cost makes it a knock around EDC that just keeps looking good and working.

Make sure you get cleaned well under the extractor star sometimes pieces of unburnt powder can keep the star from seating and Bind the cylinder..

I clean my weapon this way but I also use my 9mm pull though on the chambers after cleaning as much as possible with the oil. Things I love about this weapon, it’s pretty accurate, easy to fire single handed, and I love the glow in the dark sight.

Nice review. I appreciate you changing up the ammo used and commenting on the difference of POI for different weights. Frankly, I like the pink grips on the dark gun. Middle of the night when you can't really see the gun too well you can still see the grips and know where to grab it. What, is the bad guy going to make rude comments about being shot by a pink gun?

Nice job, makes me want a black cylinder, I have to polish the front of my stainless steel cylinder forever to get it free of burn marks.
@DrAgan_tortojed3 жыл бұрын
You are terribly mistaken - any scratches are much more visible on that black surface. At least, stainless steel is polish-able - with the black color you will have to go thru very cumbersome and tricky process of re-blackening (cold blueing) if stains/patches occur.

there is an explosion going on every time you pull the trigger, going back and forth a couple of times with your bronze brush is not going to hurt anything.
@9unslin9er2 жыл бұрын
You should always go breech to muzzle whenever possible to protect the crown. Before Boresnakes existed, the option wasn't there. But less than $10 to preserve your barrel is a no brainer.
@rolfhogfeldt76452 жыл бұрын
I'm no expert but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. The explosion doesn't occur in the barrel, it happens in the cylinder. If the barrel is rifled, and I don't know if this particular barrel is, that's what you don't want to scratch up or disturb. And if by chance there's any sort of metal particulant or shavings in there you don't want to be grinding them through. Personally I just think it's a good practice to clean, but clean gently. And what's the rush? I like to take my time. For me it's sorta "zen" . LoL Anyway, that's just me. A clean gun is a happy guy 😂

You DON'T need a metal rod for cleaning the barrel - any kind of plastic or even wooden stick (of the appropriate size) will do the job. That said, it is NO PROBLEM to get into the barrel from the muzzle.
@rbm61842 жыл бұрын
Tor Tojed If you are careful around the muzzle it does not matter what the cleaning rod is. I have a number of guns that I must clean from the muzzle end and I do use a metal rod. Metal rods have been used for ages before plastic rods and bore snakes. Just take your time and be careful around the muzzle and there will be no problem. In fact most metal rods are aluminum and are softer than gun steel but the cleaning brush may have a harder metal like a soft steel. I doubt any of the softer metals of the rod and brush could damage harder gun steel of the muzzle.
