Lakelinellc now has those keepers for the striker guide in a stainless steel one piece instead of the plastic too piece. I have replaced all plastic in my pt111g2 I got just about as much in upgrades as the gun is worth but it was a birthday present from my wife and kids so it has sentimental value so I went all out.

I upgraded my PT111 G2 with the Lakeline ported barrel, striker guide, and guide rod assembly. I had a Galloway guide rod and the large spring end came away from the rod after about 150 rounds preventing it from locking open and feeding. Can't recommend Galloway, but highly recommend Lakeline products.

I did the same thing to mine and it is definitely worth it. I ended up with a one piece steel rod rather than the two piece and the spring weight is about 3 lbs heavier. That was kind of an accident but it runs smooth as silk now so I am not complaining. The trigger is much better as well. I'm looking at the threaded barrel...it's 3/4 inch longer and longer is better. So why not?

Try taking the striker and fairing pen out of a Taurus spectrum those little guns are notorious the light primer strikes and they're a nightmare to disassemble that's the problem with these cheap made guns they got a lot of plastic parts

Just yesterday I put all my original taurus parts back into my 3 G2 and G3 and I went from 10 to 15% misfires, to literally 0% misfires so lakeline claiming my guns were dirty were absolutely wrong and I knew they were wrong. by the way if anyone is interested in buying my parts from me made from lakeline I'll sell them to you cheap

What is the point in switching barrels out. Not sure that is a upgrade as much as it's added expense. For the cost of the barrel you might as well just buy a polymer pistol with more features. A glock or a canik. I say that while I own a G2C. I'm not upgrading anything. If anything stocks breaks I expect the manufacturer to replace the part.

The ported barrel reduces recoil which really helps reduce the muzzle rise and keeps you on target for faster follow up shots. The Glock nor Canik come factory with these options unless you get the more expensive versions which put you at about twice what I have in this even with the upgrades. I would suggest the striker guide upgrade in all the Taurus g series pistols, it really smooths the trigger out. I also get the warranty, but then you’ve got the shipping cost and then the ffl transfer cost to have it shipped back to you. Also, the upgrades are just fun. I keep some of mine stock, but I like upgrading others.

I don’t have any codes for lakeline, and I like the long trigger pull to hit the wall and then a crisp break. I’ve seen the trigger upgrade but don’t plan on getting one.

I’m not getting a click every time I pull the trigger with the steel striker upgrade. I have to rack the slide every time. I looked at it and it appears the spring stop is staying depressed in the striker guide and not resetting. Wonder why… Does it need to be broken in? My plastic original clicks everytime while dirtier for some reason. I’m on a G3C

I have the G3C. Have you noticed an improvement in accuracy since installing the Lakeline barrel? I’m definitely going with the Lakeline stainless striker guide and recoil spring guide assembly. I would need to go with the standard length barrel due to the way the holster had to be mounted in the truck. I’m just wondering if the barrel change would improve the accuracy enough to justify the cost. Thanks!

I can say with the threaded barrel by lakeline I hit tiger groups and have quicker follow up shots at 20yards and I have put bullets on the same hole from a previous shot something I’ve not yet achieve with the factory one

@paul4utica 21 minutes ago (edited) I upgraded all three of my G series guns and ever since then each of of them keep making mis fires (duds). I contacted Lakeline for some feedback and they gave me nothing--they said the guns are dirty ; and they are not dirty these are clean. The misfires (over 10%) started as soon as I placed the parts in them....bad customer service. BTW, I followed this step by step instructions to the letter.

My G2 was gritty when I try to rack the slide in so I ordered both llc products I got the 16lb spring so I’m tryna see if it makes a difference tell me what ya think

If it’s gritty racking the slide I’d give it a really good cleaning and lube it good. I’d use RIG grease on the slide rails and frame rails. I also grease the rod and barrel. Just need to lightly grease these areas but make sure to cover it good.

Will any of these things help with ftf issues? Ive got the typical nose dive into the feed ramp with defensive rounds issue. Im not an expert on this, i seen another comment where a guy said the lakeline barrel did the same thing. I notice the barrel moves around alot more locked back than my other guns, would the upgraded guide rod help it not move around as much? I think the barrel going forward so much is part of what contributes to the round diving into the bottom of the ramp. Idk, its my edc rn and that issue isnt all that comforting..

First check your mags, sometimes it’s the mags that cause that. I have a video on that as well. You can also polish the feed ramp, I have a video on that as well. But yes the heavier spring will help pull the round in harder as long as the mags you’re using have the round going in at the right angle.

Okay, I thought that could be helpful for that reason, but wasn't sure being that sometimes a round will dive so hard it jams the bullet down into the casino. As for the mags, it definitely happens with all 3 of them, however I noticed it's farrr less common with the top couple rounds missing, like only having 10 rounds instead of the 12. But I like to carry a full mag and one in the tube. I think I'll try it, cuz regardless of if it fixes it or not, it's somthing I wanna upgrade eventually.

Does the new striker guide take away your ability to use the safety selector? I read the description on the Lakeline page and was confused. I got my G3C to carry in the woods on hunts as a protection piece and got it specifically because it has a safety on it.

@@00Kode00 That is correct. According to the paperwork that came with mine, the PT111 G2 has it, but the G2C, G2S, G3, and G3C do not. You also need proper gunsmith tools to install it on the PT 111 because you'll have to file off some material. I'm definitely not there yet and might not ever be.

Yes, you need to clean it thoroughly and then lube it up. I use oil and grease depending on the part.

I got the threaded black nitride barrel from Lakeline for my G3c. With Nato rounds, they don't feed properly. The casing seems to get stuck as it's fed through the feed ramp. Pretty much every type of defense ammo nose dives on first rack. I polished everything and ran over 200 rounds and I would not trust that gun with that barrel for everyday carry. I'm happy with all the other parts from Lakeline. I tried the barrel in two different G3C and pretty much the same result.
