@@paulkearns100 It is the Chinese arms factory 66 mark. The one they stamped on many of the Chinese AK 47s (for example the Norinco prebans that were imported into the USA). I am big into the AK, so that is why I like the logo. I appreciate you asking politely, as others have accused me of bad things.....lol. This logo only has 2 6's lol and they for some reason have thought there were 3. Anyhow, if you google: factory 66 AK, you will find lots of info if this interests you. Thanks for watching.

If you practice with it and get good with it, and, if it's reliable,... it will hurt, maime or annihilate the same as any expensive fire arm. I own Walther P99 smith and Wesson m&p shield Ruger lc9s I got a canik TP9da. And I love my G2C the best I carry it all the time. Taurus knocked it out the park it's going down in history as one of the greats. My G2C has a trigger pull of 4lbs plus double strike capable.

I'm not a fan of Glock's pricing either. But to be fair Taurus doesn't put any money to development. They use proven designs by other gunmakers. And the long term reliability isn't on a par. That said how many people ACTUALLY put 25,000 rounds thru a pistol? Taurus is a GREAT gun for the money.

I was able to pick up 6 of the G2C’s in stainless for $179 each and gave 3 away as gifts to friends, the final three went to my two kids and myself. I purchased them for the great price and good reviews... between my sons gun and mine we have about 2,500 rounds combined without a single malfunction. This is using everything from Tula to premium hollow points. It won’t replace my LCR in 357 or my FN9C in the conceal rotation anytime soon but love the cheapest gun in my collection.

I own 2 G2C's and both had very sticky and notchy triggers. I replaced the trigger on the first one and it now shoots great. The second one had problems going into battery and stovepiping and I sent it back for Warranty repair under the new Lifetime warranty that only changed back to this recently. Taurus makes you pay to send it back to them which is an area they could do better with as proof they want to make sure customers are happy after getting a new gun with defects. When I got my gun back, it still had the notchy and sticky trigger and was still stovepiping and not always going into battery. I had to take it apart and file and polish everything to get it working. The repair sheet they included was not accurate since it said they replaced the trigger bar and adjusted the barrel. They didn't adjust the barrel, rather they replaced it with one without a serial number and it appeared like it was a used one, though it did appear to be in good shape. They didn't mention anything about replacing a mag, yet they did because I number my mags so I can rotate them and one of the mags I got back had no number, though it was a new one and it works. A Lifetime warranty that costs you money to use it and you get less than satisfactory repairs is not worth very much. Perhaps they get so many back that they have forgotten that everyone who is paying to send back a new gun should at least be afforded the courtesy of getting a quality repair job for their troubles.

The hype has been the Taurus pt111 Millenium Pro G2 or the remake renamed the G2C are great. I’ve owned a mill pro version for three years and for the money it’s fantastic. Accurate, Comfortable, Good trigger/pull/reset, reliable and looks decent. The one downside is the finish isn’t good. If this gun gets wet you must dry it off completely. If any moisture gets on it rust will form within a day or two. Easily fixed though. For $154 at RK or $199 everywhere else, this is the best bang for the buck within pistol parameters. The mags are difficult to put twelve into even with a speed loader. Suggest eleven for break in. If a light primer hit happens simply pull the trigger again which is an added feature some higher end guns don’t offer. The gun is true and reliable.

In my early twenties I purchase the original PT111 millennium pro, after 300 rounds I noticed a frame crack near the extractor, sold it and I swore I would never buy another Taurus, 3 years later I bought a m85 Taurus 38 revolver, very reliable and accurate for a snub nose 38, I am now warming up to the idea of the G2C (my EDC is a CZ75 rami) but I figure what the hell for $200 I'm willing to give the G2C a try.

Yeah Taurus has had some real black eye guns in the past. I also have had a bad opinion of them over the years. I have a m85 Taurus snub nose too. This G2C is my second Taurus. I'm where you are. The original PT111 Millennium PRO had teething problems, and ended up in a major recall. It was an oops. They took their hits, looks like they adjusted and made it a much better pistol.

@@2aEdu mine has been outstanding. Recently took it out to our local free open range, which I was surprised to find. Between the two of us, we went through 800 rounds for the first foray. Bang every time, ejected every time, casings eject vigorously. Two lanes down, a fella who had been shooting his three pistols, two Glocks and an M&P Shield watched us firing, got curious and approached us. He asked what we were shooting, and I showed him my G2C. He kinda rolled his eyes that I had a Taurus, and I chuckled. We had a conversation about the pistol. I explained that we were merely breaking in my new pistol, and would he like to take a turn? He said sure, why not? He pulled a box of the 50 Federal FMJs, and we loaded my 3 mags. I told him that the trigger would feel completely different than what he's used to, but have at it. (For those that don't know, the magazine springs are quite strong, and I use an ADCO Super Thumb ST1 to assist in loading, crucial during a heavy loading session! Amazon carries them for less than $10.) So, he lined 'er up and let it fly. After the three mags were emptied, we loaded up the rest of the rounds, and he ran her dry. When we retrieved the target, his first 6 rounds were off by a few inches as he figured out the trigger and the sights. The remainder of his rounds were cluster in the target in a group roughly 6" in span, which I thought was pretty good for a first session with the pistol. He asked the price, and I asked him to guess. He thought $350, and was shocked when I told him I paid $230 at Cabela's, and available now at Rural King stores for $180. He looked like a man inspired. While we policed our brass, we both commented it was a good day, and the Taurus was fun to shoot.

My third G2c had a machine burr on the barrel feed ramp that was causing FTF...I took care of it myself. Flawless so far over last 500 rounds. Good gun....good review.

But I may upgrade it later. Or I may buy another one at this point. I'm really liking it. The burr doesn't sound good, but not too big of a deal either. This is why we need to test our guns before relying on them. Good thing you were aware of what was going on.

Thanks for all the information, as this warranty stuff can get confusing. I've had my G2C for a few years and yet to have any problems with. As you said, it takes the P226 mags. I have two P226 TacOps pistols and they have a 20 round mags that work flawlessly in the Taurus. I'm sure you will enjoy this pistol, and it is very comfortable in the hand. Cheers!

I’m always going on these sites telling how much I love mine, and I just noticed something today that will make a difference for a lot of women...and small-handed men. I was dry-fire practicing with my Sig p938 and p238, my two carry guns bcs I’m small. Couldn’t drop the magazine easily from the 938 without major grip change. Got out my home defense g2c and range gun g2s, dropped mags easily without shifting my hold. The p938 is about 1/2” or so WIDER in that throat area between mag release button and back strap! No wonder I don’t really care for it in spite of how nice it is...the p238 and the g2s are the regular carry guns now(-:

I have 1 and have about 1000 rounds through it and the only issue I had is at about 600 rounds the locking block roll pin starts to walk out of the left side of the frame, I just tap it back in and it runs fine, no issues w the recoil spring assembly I might try some locktite on the pin but its my EDC and so for I like it

I like the trigger. The reset is very short. The restrike feature is what makes the take-up long. After that it fires and resets like a pistol far above the price range for the G2c. With restrike you can dry fire practice with this pistol and a barrell laser until the end of time without ever spending a dime on ammunition. Add the 12 round magazine and this is a total winner.

I shot mine today. The trigger is great when shooting it. Reset is great. I really like it so far. In addition to the Taurus 12 rd mags, I also ran one of the Mec-Gar 20 rd 226 mags and it ran flawless. I was able to work out that little hitch in the trigger by dry firing it for a couple weeks before I could get out and shoot it. So far I'm really loving this little "budget" gun.

@@2aEdu - The thing that I like about what Taurus has been doing the last couple of years is they are waking the entire industry up. The last 4 pistols they have released, the G2C, the TH9, the TX22 and the Spectum have all been exceptional weapons especially at their price point. The Spectrum is not a pistol I have as much familiarity with but it as gotten good reviews and I think it is also very popular so I included it here.. With the quality, precison and sophistication of modern manufacturing equipment there is absolutley no reason why almost any polymer pistol in the under $600.00 category should not be better made, safer, more accurate and more affordable than what is on the market now. Taurus is clearly proving that point in a big way. I first handled a G2C within weeks of buying an S&W Shield 9mm. Within 30 seconds I realized it was better laid out and a much better functioing pistol than the S&W Shield. Plus it holds more rounds and has the restrike feature that enables you to practice dry fire with a barell laser without ever having to rack the pistol between shots or buying any ammo. Hard to overlook the value in that feature. In comparison the S&W Shield is very difficult to rack and the slide release is not a release at all but a lock that requires a change in hand position and for most of us two thumbs to exert enough pressure to release the slide. Add to that the slide is so loose on that pistol you can rock it side to side easily. When you consider that the S&W Shield is designed as a self defense weapon that should be easy to operate and accurate those flaws are indefensible. I don't know how it compares side by side with the G2C as far as accuracy goes but my Walther CCP M2 is significantly more accurate than the S&W Shield and at the same price. So, with all of that going on I am very happy to see Taurus shaking up the entire industry for the better. That should be good for all pistol shooters no matter what brand of gun they prefer.

Just purchased a G2C, and love the little gun.... ran a box of cheap TulAmmo without the first hangup! Can't wait to shoot my own through it. I have owned a Taurus 1911 for years now.... with thousands of rounds through it.... You can count on one hand the stove pipe hangups! they were only with cheap ammo in a flawed mag. I would not take my money back for the 1911, and hope to have the same opinion of the G2C. Thanks brother for the info on the warranty! good stuff! Keep up the good work!

I sold my S&W Shield to buy the G2C myself. I bought a Walther CCP M2 instead primarily due to my wife's peference for the Walther which I like very much as well. Love it actually. However it costs twice as much as the G2C and doesn't hold 12 rounds or have the restrike feature which enables the G2C to be used for dry fire practice endlessly without ever racking the pistol using a bore style laser and the software that comes with it to evauate your shooting. Even if you have a dozen 9mm semiautomatics you should probably get the G2C just for those features. It's still on my list although I don't need another 9mm.

@@guerom1367 - Most people don't understand how the trigger on the G2C works. I see people firing it wrong at the range. Somebody put up a range video review of the G2C recently and filmed themselves without knowing that they weren't firing this pistol correctly. It has a hybrid type SA/DA trigger that can recock the striker without recocking the slide. To make that work the takeup on the first shot is long. However after that the reset is very short. Trouble is I think in many shooters mind they've think that they need to let that trigger out even after the reset believing they have to make up for the long takeup. That's not not necessary at all. It resets quickly and easily. I had a S&W Shield myself but I let it go to get the G2C which I see as the better weapon by a good bit. Anyhow, fool with the G2C trigger a bit and you may change your mind as well. The 12 round magazine was also a game changer for me and I have several other features I like better on the G2C over the S&W Shield.

@@guerom1367 Let us know how it goes with your new G2C. I don't think you will be disappointed. My biggest complaint about the Shield 9mm is that the slide release basically locks the slide and requires a lot of thumb pressure or two thumbs and a change of your wrists grip position to unlock it. That's plain dumb in a self defense weapon that should be both quick and easy to operate.. Add to that mine was not all that accurate. If you grab that slide you will see it fits so loose that you can rock it side to side. I never felt good about that. You can argue that everything might center up when the slide is in motion but I never felt confident about that. If you look at all the effort the high end 1911 manufacturers go to to get the slide to fit tighly over the bushing it makes you wonder what S&W was thinking when they did that. Of course the mechanics of the 1911 are different so it's not a 1 for 1 comparison but it's notworthy. KCguns was one of the first reviewers to really give the G2C a really good review when compared to other guns so i asked him what he thought mght be the weakest link in the G2C construction and he said he thought the slide coating might no be as durable as the more expensive guns but he wasn't totally sure about that. At one of the local gun shops several months ago I was fooling around with the G2C. The shop has lots of guns but also has lot of expensive guns as well and is sort of a high end gun shop. After fooling around with it for a long while I handed it back to him and said "Man, I love this gun." Well, I expected some snooty remark about how it was pretty decent for a cheap gun but instead his reply was "Everybody loves that gun." He went further to say that if you looked at the build quality compared to other polymer pistols it was the same or similar quality as other more expensive guns. He even took several apart to show me. He was right I think. However I do think it's possible that manufacturers like Sig and H&K may be using a better polymer compound but that is just my guess. The gun is worth 400 it shoots, and performs as well as any other sub compact pistol has a great feel, and the trigger is easy to learn and follow up second shots are smooth once you get the reset figured out. One inch groups at 25yrs

I got mine as part of the recall. It's easy to shoot, fun to shot, eats ammo like nothing. Weight is good, fits good in my clobbers. I like the loaded tab indicator, the safety is easy to work. If you want to get a first gun, go for it.

The difficulty with operating the Slide Lock stems from the fact that the Recoil Spring Assemblies that come with the new G2C's are way stiffer than the former PT-111 Recoil Spring Assemblies. FYI, I read a post where an owner who needed a new Recoil Spring Assembly was told by Taurus to Contact LAKELINE, LLC because those replacement springs were actually "On BackOrder with Taurus". Anyway, after installing my new all stainless steel Lakeline Recoil Spring Assembly, it was much easier to rack and way easier to operate the Slide Lock control feature.

How about 1st 3 magazines ? Had several stovepipe issues and slide hang ups . My 2nd Taurus gun I have purchased and issues right out of the gate. So I took the slide off and it is not quite aligned right. Meh , drop of oil and solved slide issue. Next 100 rounds should be smooth. Will update to your channel as I appreciate your discussions. This Taurus G2C has been good to go. I have not had any problems with it. I have many video updates with it in my Taurus playlist. I will continue to do more vids on this pistol. 2a Edu - so after another 280 rounds I’ve had ZERO issue in feeding , ejecting , etc... I even used the P226 and Canik TP9 mags with again with no issues. Ran FMJ (both brass and steel case) , also ran HP from federal . I’m Really loving this little firearm and using as my EDC when lite clothing days are required. 👍 highly recommend this firearm and channel for 2A and firearm material .

I've had this gun for several months and love it! My recoil assembly did bend after my first trip to the range (300 rounds) however I replaced it with the stainless assembly from lakeline LLC and have since put over 1000 more rounds through it with no issue. The only other thing I didn't like was the trigger "hitch" however I also purchase a new striker guide from lakeline LLC and the trigger now has no "hitch". My opinion ... You cannot get a better gun for the price. I'd put it up against a Glock any day.

The wifey has a pink g2c, I like it so much.....I aim to get me one. We currently have a handful of 380s and love them. Tough to beat lifetime warranty too. Some may call g2c a budget buy, for people who can’t afford an expensive gun. I disagree I’m not poor, but I don’t waste money on a name. All gun manufacturers have some problems here and there, that being said I know Taurus has stepped up big time in the last couple years. Parts may be made in Brazil, but assembled in Florida with better Assembly and inspection than in the past, and the aftermarket parts Available are insanely great upgrades.

I just bought the G2C today at the ATP Guns and Range shop in Goose Creek, SC. I haven't shot it yet, but the gun feels good. I watched your video to see if I bought a decent gun for the money. Thanks for the information on the warranty. My owner's manual had the newer Limited Lifetime Warranty language in the back of the book. I have already registered for the warranty on the Taurus site. Other videos were of shooters making fun of the Taurus. I also liked your comment about making the practicing of our 2nd Amendment rights available to more people for personal and family protection. I bought mine for strictly home protection and for personal protection because I am a national political candidate. Again, thanks for your opinions on the gun.

I was leery of this gun when I first bought it. I too had heard so many bad things. Now that I own it and have shot it a good bit, I love it. Very comfortable to shoot and no problems yet. i just went to lakeline and bought an all ss recoil spring assembly that dropped in for about 25 bucks and saved the old one now i dont have to worry about nothing and it was worth it for a 200 dollar gun to drop another 25 for a worry free recoil assembly spring for it , btw its made in there new plant in fla

$200 and two 12 rd mags, great value. Have over 350 rds, no hiccups, no misfeeds, shoots pretty good. Did change out the Recoil assembly and striker to a stainless, put cheap fiber optics, all E-Bay, now my desert backpack gun. Installed a Asmund short stroke trigger, it helped a lot. About $20. I actually chose this gun over a Walther PPS.

This is my first gun. The hitch trigger is still there after 300 rounds and an additional 300 trigger pulls. The mags are super tight but loosen some when loaded for a while. 115 grain cheap ammo has a tendency to have failure to load.

I would try some more dry firing. Luckily I haven't had problems with mine like that with the failure to feed. If it doesn't straighten itself out, it does have a life warranty. Thanks for watching.

Yep, I was able to smooth out the hitch by dry firing it over the past couple weeks. Took it out today and shot it. Great so far. I absolutely love it so far. I agree that the more good people who are armed the better. Poor people too.

yes, but it's critical that you actually shoot it at the range and KNOW that your trigger is functioning. the G2C is identical to my pt111 G2 minus the taurus security system. G2C is better in that regard, in that the security system can interact with the trigger action. All that said, early on my PT111G2 trigger would freeze up during normal firing sessions. After several hundred rounds, and after me polishing the trigger safety hook with very fine sandpaper (polishing that piece), it FINALLY stopped freezing, though I can still detect a slight 'bump' in the trigger pull travel at that point. Until I got it past that point if I needed it in a serious situation it very likely could have frozen and prevented me from defending my own life. Today, the action is smooth as butter but for there for a bit I was wondering if I would ever be able to trust it.

Just purchase the Lakeline Stainless Steel Striker Guide and replace the original Orange Plastic one that came with the gun. The new one does NOT have the hole in it that the Security system needs in order to function. The Lakeline one is about $12 bucks.

Thanks. It's not really about agreeing, because a lot has changed since then. The big thing for me is that when I first talked about this gun, Taurus had that BS warranty. The fact that they changed the warranty to lifetime means if worse comes to worse, I won't get stuck with a paper weight. I still have natural doubts about it with some of their past disasters on this gun's predecessors. But I'm going to give it a fair shake, now that Taurus has stepped up to the plate a little on standing behind it. I have always said it is a comfortable and a lot of rounds for a small gun.

Accurate little gun and an adjustable sight for $194 shipped Zero hiccups with mine about 100rds in Polished the striker face and body and the plunger and the sear edge and the grit is gone, a quality piece like the trigger better than my glocks

I passed on this gun at a gun show a couple of days ago solely because I was under the impression that it was a 1 yr warranty. My thinking was that if the gun was of good quality the company would stand behind it and a 1 yr warranty imo is not standing behind the product.
