0:40 - How did Taurus make a little gun that has very low felt recoil? A big part of that trick is the low bore axis made possible by that big beaver tail grip cut that puts the slide almost on top of the shooter's hand. I always considered Taurus pistols to be a good value but never bought one because they never had the features I want. I'll get a stainless GX2, delete the external safety, and maybe put a good laser/light on the rail, and use that for the most gun I can carry in a Kydex holster in my back pocket. 19:00 - The KYGUNCO review video I saw had a group 5" to the left at 7 yards out of the box so it's not just you.

I have the GX4 and absolutely love it. Just the right size for EDC and it has never had a fail to feed-fire or eject! the only complaint on it is the super weak mag release button. You have to be careful which holster you buy or you will have the the gun puking out the mag everytime the mag release gets the slightest pressure against it. I even installed an aftermarket release in it and it helped a little but not much! Taurus needs to recall the GX4's over this issue. Been looking at the new Savage Stance XR which looks promising.

To be fair, I do own and carry Glocks and a few Rugers and so on are in our collection but I have a love for Taurus pistols, mainly the G line of pistols and have ever since my wife picked out a G2C 5-6 years ago. I've had them all from the pt-111 to the G3C, and still have my G3 & G3C. Oddly, they are two of the most accurate pistols that I own. We do quite a bit of longer range pistol shooting, sometimes out to 100 yards depending on how competitive we are lol, and at closer range I've shot groups with my G3 that just don't make sense. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these GX2's and hopefully down the line they make a full size version. Sorry for the novel btw.

My wife carries a G2C and I say it all the time, that ergonomically it feels better than most other brands I carry myself that more than triple that price point. When I heard the GX2 was coming and it was gonna be comparable to the G2C it grabbed my attention immediately. I would like to see an optics cut version come out eventually.

I get why it didn’t have an optics cut and included a manual safety. This handgun is most likely marketed towards new gun owners. People who are new to firearms and can’t or not willing to spend more. That being said it seems to be a solid choice overall, will definitely be getting my hands on one for sure.

I was set to buy a new GX4 but had to pass because the mag release button was too weak in both a GX4 Carry and regular GX4. I prefer a firm mag release for IWB carry. Did Taurus improve this in the GX2?

It was a little stiffer than the other two. I think that comes down to a person preference. You might have to try it to see if you like it better.

I had a GX4 in which the mag release was very sensitive. The mag would drop out my gun while I’m shooting. The mag catch is barely holding onto the mag

I actually find it to be the same as the G3 and in fact kind of tough to get to. I've put close to 3600 rounds through mine IIRC and never unintentionally dropped a mag yet.

The magazines are hard to load, at first. As with my GX4 Carry, I 'broke them in', load, unload, shoot, clean, load, unload, 3/4 load at first, then full loads. And they loosen up nicely, so that I can load them now without any pushing. No problems with the Brazil made mags. Disassembly is very easy. The grip feels like it's molded to my hand, perfect fit. Shoots straight, little recoil. I almost like it better than the GX4 Carry. Oh, those mags fit also in the GX2.

Don't suppose you have a chrono and could shoot some hot 124 ball and maybe a defensive like Punch or hst and compare in your next vid....groups at 10 or 12 yards would be nice to edit into comparison vid of all 3 too

I ordered at a Stainless Steel and Black model from KGC for $262.63 shipped. I went with the SS because the Brazil manufacturer are notorious for cheap finishes on their G2C and G3C type models. Other reviewers have noted this for the GX2.

They likely consider that most gunfights happen within 10yds or less, so iron sights get the job done. My G20 (10mm) has MOS and high-end optics, but that's a 6" barrel that's good to 100yds. (not an EDC)

​@@fullyloadedreviews I can understand that. The only real knock I have on the 3c is the long trigger break point, but once you get used to it it's not bad. It might be a bigger issue for gun swappers going to and from guns with shorter triggers. I think it was meant to be more of an added safety feature maybe, but idk. I wanted it to give me a reason to buy an x4 but it really won't do it lol also I kinda prefer the bit bigger size of the 3c, personal preference tho. Also to note, I did end up having to polish the ramp on my 3c as it didn't like to chamber the cheap HP rounds I was trying to push through it when I first got it. Maybe include a box of those in your Taurus "shootout" since you won't go buy a 3c just for me 😂

Oh favorite guns is hard. We both have been in the firearms industry for awhile and have shot everything from pen guns to mp7 to Browning BARs. We also focus on a good mix of medium to lower end price point guns in our videos with high end sprinkled in. Taurus did hire a bunch of people from Walther about 2-3 years ago.

Shot a ton in the DoD (Beretta, Mossberg, Colt) but had too many other high-dollar hobbies lol... then I moved back to Texas :D. Revisiting all my initial research for my next EDC and Home Defense options. Was going to go Glock, but I just don't shoot them well and it would be $$$ to get them where I'd want them. I'm not too worried about the grip texture but more so on the trigger pull. Did Taurus manage to handle this issue??? I have their .40 S&W G2C and honestly I felt the trigger was very spongy and too long of a pull. Trigger reset was sketchy for me so hopefully Taurus has improved this issue.

This is the same trigger as the gx4. It’s really good.

Looks alot like the frame of a TX22 compact! which is a very comfortable gun. SO this gun is a slim line not a true double stack like the G2C? if they would do the RMSC cut I don't believe it would add that much cost. I just saw another video comparing to Hellcat pro and Sid p365. to me this looks more like a wider double stack gun. Slide is much slimmer on the other 2 brands. so this seems to be in the G2C line which is not a slim line. I thought the GX4s were slim line guns to compete with like glock 43x and hellcat etc.

They would do their toro so it would add up. I guess you could put it that way. It is a double stack but with gx4 style mags

@ I have a GX4 for shorts and sweats, a G3C with spare mag for when fully dressed, and a G3 for home defense. My G3c is not reliable and I’m trying to replace it. I get two or three light primer struck per 50 rounds.
