Just paid for my tracker today. I live in Washington so unfortunately I have to wait to pick her up, but I ordered buffalo bore ammo. Would highly recommend you check them out. Hottest 357's I've ever fired. Same in 10mm. It's kind of their thing. Heavy outdoorsman loads will not disappoint. Thanks for the video!

I have the 4 inch . Using S&B jacketed I was shooting a bit high out of the box . I went down two clicks and now it's a tack driver . I couldn't be happier with it . I do find myself anticipating the break , the next pistol I have to the power is a S&W 40 . I need to shoot it a lot more to get used to the recoil . I have only fired 2 shots double action the rest have been single action . It is the only big revolver I own . I think we will get to be good friends . Bless all .

You can shoot 300 gr bear loads, just not a steady diet

Nothing but trouble with my high power loads in my 44 tracker. It has locked up twice. My local gunsmith fixed it once, and the 2nd time, it went back to taurus for a free repair. I'm afraid to shoot it now. If it fails, I won't fix it again.

​@@jimfox5299Lock up, or crimp jump? There's a big difference, I have a Ruger Alaskan 454 casull and on the second round crimp jumped and locks up with the double tap ammo, they all mess up at some point in time of the other

@lynch6642 Not crimp jump or bullet creep like as it is also called but cylinder lock up.... Where the cylinder release mechanism was damaged to the point that it wouldn't release the cylinder. It wouldn't even move when I prssesd it to release the cylinder. It happened twice within 50rds. After my gunsmith repaired it, Taurus fixed it. I haven't shot it since. I just bought a 6in Anaconda to hopefully solve the issue.

I have the Taurus 444 44 Magnum 6-Shot 4" Revolver Ultralite Titanium. It is a quality firearm that is a lot of fun to shoot. I would like to purchase the Tracker with the ported barrel too. (It seems the 5 round cylinder might make it a little bit more compact in size) Actually, I would like to do a side by side comparison of the two to see what the handling difference is. In general, I like to start off with 6 rounds of 44 magnum, then switch to the 44 special rounds... finishing up with 2 cylinders of magnum rounds. The specials allow me to spend a little time honing my skills, but starting and stopping with the magnum rounds helps to keep that higher recoil mentally imprinted.

In the history of Taurus they never ever made any revolver in any caliber in a 4.5 inch barrel the tracker comes in 2.5 4.0 6.0 8.0 inch barrels
