I think Tyler hit the nail on the head when he was talking about finding the limits of the car in a safe environment. One of the first things my father did when I got my drivers license was take me to the snow covered mall parking and show me how to spin the car around and recover. Much better to have that knowledge and skill before you get yourself into a situation you can't recover from. Plus it made driving so much more fun later on in life.
@jeffreis51942 жыл бұрын
My grandpa did the same. But he made me keep a cup of McDonald's lava coffee between my knees to teach me to keep calm during it
@johnhunter72442 жыл бұрын
I would like to do that but it rarely snows here
@IncusVidz2 жыл бұрын
Knowing the limits and how to recover from bad situations is very important. Not only on snow. Norway for example has a mandatory safety training for their drivers licence and I think its a great idea. My mom was a very insecure driver until she got one and I also started experimenting a lot after I got my car. Iits not only fun it also makes you a better and safer driver. 0 Accidents so far despite having a few code brown situations like the rear loosing grip in corners on suddently slippery roads or going to fast into a cornor because you underestimated it. It doesn't protect you from idots but it can help you defusing situations. A lot of people can't even do a full emergency brake in a streight line even though its mandatory in our driving test.

I can't believe how well Ed summed it all up - people who design electric cars really take driving as a chore and completely don't understand the rest of us who take it for a recreational activity, a therapy, a hobby, a passion and whatever else you can think of to describe it. It's NOT only about going fast, it's about the experience of being in control, of manually changing gears between corners, hearing the controlled explosions propelling you forward. It's not a chore, it's an exciting event especially on a gorgeous twisty road.

Considering it was Tyler meeting The Orangutan that got him to skyrocket through the KZbin algorithm, I'd have to disagree with you. Tyler - Jezza Ed - Captain Slow (ironic with his Cannonball records 😋) but he loves living in the past, as he stated. Freddy - Hamster (We need to ensure Tavarish stays away from dragsters, prototype hypercars and anything else he can wreck.)

I don't think any of them are able to be anywhere near the asshole Clarkson is. He was definitely my least favourite part of top gear when it was good. Car trek to me is better than top gear.

LOVE the Outros and bloopers at the end not to mention Tylers childhood grim from ear to ear.

Just a shame they’re phoning it in this year. 3 short episodes is half the content they usually produce. Very disappointing.
@autotempest2 жыл бұрын
@@cammacleod9280 if you check the views for each series, you'll see the first episode always gets the most, with each subsequent one getting fewer. So by making the seasons shorter, but making more of them, we can do more different things, more often, and have them seen by more people.

“60% of men will suffer from some type of erectile dysfunction, but we’ve brought Tyler Hoover here to fix his” Ed is easily one of the funniest most charming men i’ve ever seen. fucking love Mr. Bolian so god damn much. if he was single and into men i would fucking marry him in a heartbeat.

I'm with you Ed. I want NOTHING to do with a EV. I will never own one and think they're nothing but a toy.

I have driven all those roads multiple times in both a NC Miata and in a lifted Jeep YJ and still really can't tell you which was more fun. It's all an amazing, scenic drive and it's even better when the greenery returns. Naturally, do it during the week if possible, especially it's motorcycle season. If anyone's wanting to re-create their drive, it looks like it was composited out of a bunch of sections of road out of order. But here's the way I'd do it if I were going for a drive there again. Start in Vonore, NC and go NE on 411 for less than three miles till you get to 72, where you'll turn right, heading SE. Stay on 72 till it dead ends into 129/115. Take a right onto 129/115 heading East and enjoy the drive along the Little Tennessee River until the road leaves the river bank and the Tail of the Dragon proper starts, about where Calderwood Dam Road intersects. Stay on 129/115. Go slow. DON'T BE THAT DICK THAT CROSSES THE CENTER YELLOW DIVIDER PRETENDING HE'S TAKING RACING LINES AROUND TURNS. Enjoy the cruise. Pull over onto the small areas to let people go by that are going faster than you. It's a scenic route, not a race track. Behave accordingly. When you get to the intersection where you can turn left onto 28, take that turn and continue on driving along the river again until you reach Fontana Dam. There's some nice places to eat a picnic lunch there along the water.

OMG!! I gotta say this reminds me of the O.G. Top Gear, with @JeremyClarkson @JamesMay and @RichardHammond... It is so great, and they Write, act, and Operate their own... IT IS SO GOOD! THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.... THE START OF A WHOLE NEW GENERATION!!!

My feelings exactly, Ed. I need to be engaged with my car, even if it's a daily and I'm getting groceries, not only just for the fun but it helps keep my brain focused on the road. Driving current EVs feel like driving an iPod, and that's just not what I'm looking for.

You guys are really pulling this off and you have great chemistry and I hope someday you guys get further than this and have a show on TV with as much financial assistance is Top Gear head because you guys can make it incredible
