This is such a mindtrip for me. My dad bought a 2008 V8 Vantage over 10 years ago and when he passed in 2020 I could not get myself to sell it. Every single time I drive it, it reminds me of him and will probably never be able to part with it. Thanks Tavarish for sharing!

That is a great story about spending time with your Dad. I am 72 now, my Dad died when I was 26. I never took an opportunity like a forced confinement car ride, to ask my Dad about his story. He too was an immigrant and emigrated from England through Cuba to Los Angeles where he ran an orchard and drove trucks hauling oranges and avocados with his brother. They ended up in Canada. I would love to have had the foresight like you did to ask my Dad to tell me his stories, I know some would have been quite hair raising. For example I learned from other sources that he and his brother were forced out of the trucking business in orange county by the Teamsters in the late 20s early 30s. I can only imagine what must have happened in that moment in time (baseball bats and flat tired come to mind) among many others. So Freddy, good on you. You obviously cherish that drive and I only wish I was able to do some the same 47 years ago. Keep up the great work. BTW. How about talking to Dave Kindig and recommending that he bring his story to UTube, Apparently his show was cancelled, similar to Road Kill Garage.

@tavarish what a video 🎉 congrats! That father/son moment was epic. You made me cry as my Dad is no longer with us but would give everything to spend time with him again. Keep the car. People tend to think that cars are just things but they tend to forget the memories and experiences that come with them. Keep up the good work!

The wheels that came with the car now are so much better than the old ones. Really gives the car that more premium luxury look, instead of these street racer ones. It's a shame you swapped them

spray wraps > vinyl wraps. No seams and wayyyy easier on the paint when its time to remove. Can strip an entire car in an hour.

If the Clear Coat doesn't come out, I Matt clear coated the whole car. The difference is though, my car was a cheap SAAB
Freddie, mate, I would leave it the silver, keep the V8 and modernise it, maybe update the interior tech . Keep it simple, and have it as close to the car it is currently. Get a mild upgrade rebuild on the engine, keep it reliable. There's not much that needs doing, and you don't want to ruin a good thing, especially if you want to road trip it with your daughter. I am glad the car has made its way back to you. There are some cars you regret getting rid of, no matter the success that came from it, and yours has been phenomenal.
