Beautiful! I love her stories! May we all continue to mark down the stories of redemption that the Lord writes in our lives. Let none of us think of ourselves more highly than we ought! We need our Savior every moment of every day. I love Amy's spirit, she is so beautiful! It is hard to find the proper words to describe the gift that is Amy Grant. In watching her in this interview, while singing, I was reminded of that wonderful actress Greer Garson, in the movie "Random Harvest". She moved me to tears,,, and so does Amy Grant. You are the reason, the feeling that can only exist in the absence of the opposite!

One day, several days I had been asking God to " fill my heart with songs of deliverance". In a couple moments I heard Amy's songs in my heart. The Lord within Amy's music God knows. I think about them pulling her music off the shelves. God is the one that gave me that and I look at what was done to her and the Lord. They did this to Jesus. Debbie

I just want to mention also, one day watching the gospel of John on DVD. Looking to the Lord (what's he going to teach me). I didn't realize it till I got up and fast forwarded the movie, it was in the place of the Pharisees or a saducee. God let me feel that spirit, now fast forwarding to get past him. Awful spirit. I didn't realize that God was doing that and I looked up realizing I fast forwarded it. I think of how Jesus trying to save his soul. " how will you escape the fire of hell? Therefore I will send teachers, prophets apostles some of them you will kill persecute and crucify". We each work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. I could say more about what the Lord showed me but this is where each person's walk gets these things from the Lord. Also in comparison meaning how Jesus dealt with the situation- the woman caught in adultry and people ready to stone her. Jesus is our example of how to deal with these things. Debbie

@busanveggiefest98969 жыл бұрын
+Michael Anthony - Whatever you think of God or Jesus, i think this interview was fine; i'd never heard of or seen this Tavis Smiley guy before, but it was a great interview, because he was asking good questions directly but respectfully, on personal and on professional areas of her life, and giving her space and trust to answer in an honest, authentic way, so, she did, and that made it interesting. And he invited her to actually sing, and she was relaxed enough to stop and share a laugh at herself because of her own guitar playing, and then even carry on stronger as if she'd not even stopped.... Mate, i just do not understand how anyone could think this was a bad interview or he did not do well in this interview. Would you like to explain your thinking?

Hate Travis , but I love Amy Grant , she is a beautiful person.
@busanveggiefest98969 жыл бұрын
+Michael Anthony - Who is Travis? Oh wait: do you mean Tavis? Well then, you have gone from saying he is a "horrible interviewer" before, to his now being simply an objet of "hate" for you. Why? What do you dislike about him so much? He is an excellent interviewer because he asked smart questions, and gave her time to reply. He is clearly a nice guy as Amy was pretty relaxed and they both focused on meat conversation. What more do u want? Really, if you are going to make such extreme and emotional personal statements, the least you can do is try to explain your basis for your living and working in such a negative way, or be specific about what you dislike about that one person..

It is a gift of God. Not by works so that no one can boast." Faith and trust in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is what makes you a Christian. If it's about anything else, then it's something you can boast in. Boast all you want. I will boast in Jesus Christ and Him alone.

@@1977seabiscuit Hobdanile no offence but you are complete wrong it’s not just about faith read Matthew 25.25 and James 2.14 and manny other scriptures what you have said no offence but is so lukewarm mate
@1977seabiscuit3 жыл бұрын
@@Todd63790Todd, many English speaking people take that scripture out of context in James. The word "justified" in greek is "dikaioo" which translates, "shown to be righteous." That scripture isn't saying that a man is made righteous be his works, it's saying that a man is 'shown to be righteous' by his works. Conclusion, that scripture is in no way telling someone that they are made righteous by their works, for by the works of the law "no man will be justified." Here is a good teaching on the meaning of that verse kzbin.info/www/bejne/maesZ5meYr1ja7M Romans 3:20. Paul nor James contradicted themselves when they say it is "by faith that we are saved, not of ourselves, it is a gift of God. NOT BY WORKS so that NO ONE can boast." Also, the words of Jesus confirm this when he said in John 6:40 "For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and BELIEVE in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.” Matthew 25:25 was a parable about wise and unwise servants. You are reading too much into that verse. Christ wasn't speaking towards salvation there by works. Also in John 6:29 "This is the work of God, that you BELIEVE on him whom he has sent". God is pleased to give the kingdom to those who ask, this is a gift. It is not lukewarm Christianity and it's certainly not of yourself. Rest in Christ, not yourself.

I’m actually trying to help you - you obviously are ignoring the scriptures that I have pointed pour and choosing to promote your own ego and not the written law of God these and many other scriptures clearly tell you that by faith alone you will not be saved this is a lukewarm doctrine that many people today mislead others !! This is clearly written in the bible !!! These scriptures aren’t debatable even a 12 year old could understand them if everyone just lived by Faith alone do you really believe that God , Jesus and all the apostles just talked and focused on faith ???
