I love my brotha' !!!! Farrakhan has been such a positive role model in my life. I consider him as my #1 spiritual father. I've been listening to him since I was young and he was the only one who spoke of my pain & suffering without sugarcaoting it. He is not in a position of having to compromise such as our poloticians do, which allows him to speak truth that enters the heart like a dagger. We need truth bearers who don't compromise to advance themselves or to hold onto high positions in power.

I was in the audience this day, and I was on my feet applauding Rev. Farrakhan. The actual speech was a big longer (there was a minor gaffe with the microphone at one point), but it was just as exciting and riveting as you see here. It's funny, I was just flipping through the channel late at night, and I stumbled upon this eloquently speaking individual. Up until that time I had never heard of Farrakhan, but after seeing this, I never forgot him. I love Farrakhan (no matter what other people think of him), and it's because of him that I continue to watch this event every year. I most certainly don't agree with some of the things he says, but I admire his passion and conviction.

Just to correct what the minister said happened when John baptised Jesus. John at this point didn't say there was one coming who will baptise with fire. He actually said (Matthew 3:13-17)--"13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Earlier in Matthew 3:11 the people mistook John for the messiah (Jesus) that's when John said “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. (‭also found in Luke‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬) I hope this makes sense. I always do my best to correct biblical errors.

Thank you for taking the time to "correct" a brother who stood up to make sure we turn to God and each other and not a group of people who are on record for deceiving, exploiting, enslaving and manipulating us and every non white people they have come into contact with, since day one. Now what did you "correct"? He paraphrased that John baptized with water and said Jesus would baptize with fire. Isn't that what Luke 3:16 says? "John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire." Luke 12:49-51 "I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division." What you said was irrelevant and pointless.
