I had the same feeling with the board being so busy at first that I just dismissed it, but then I watched the video of JonGetsGames on it and that is fantastic to see it in action!

Nice! Yes, it takes time to get used to the busy board, but it is very mechanicly clever!

I agree! It’s better in real life, and not really a problem after a few plays!

Glad you guys like this one! I for one was intimidated by the look of the board, maybe with patience I can learn to appreciate it too

This was in my top 3 of 2020. I can't make up my mind on whether I like this one or Tekhenu more. Every time I play the other game I think I like that one more.

@@sunnivavarjord the new version of Yedo. They did such a good job with it. If I don't count reprints/new versions I would have to say On Mars.

I just picked up my copy of this and plan to get it to the table this weekend, so very much looking forward to it. I remember looking at images of it and not being all that interested, but I've seen gameplay videos of it and it looks so much up my alley

I've played it about 10 times. The first 3-4 plays were rough for me. I knew there was something there, but I had a hard time finding the strategy. Now that my wife and I, and our game groups understand it, the games are so satisfying when benefitting off of other players moves. On top of that, the game flow once everyone has it is great. We very seldom get AP with this game anymore, and we are just having fun with the game. It is definitely worth the investment in my opinion.

Did you find that the conquest(or whatever the armies stuff was called) was a little too lucky? I've heard reports on that but haven't played the game enough yet. Mainly because my eyes have to heal between games from the constant "where's waldo" exercise you have to do with that board plus the wonky rules on top! :P It's had mixed reviews all around and it's not winning me over as much as the other T games so far.

No problems for us with the conquest cards :) A lot of the conquest spots needs an odd number anyways, so if you have a lot of 2’s you have to use them as a 1. We have seldom used the bonuses on the cards, so don’t have an opinion ragarding luck there. Where’s waldo is a very accurate description of this game 😂

Had this for two months, but still haven't played it, as when I received it, it was missing a fair few components, and I still haven't had the replacements show up in the post yet :(

Both are great fun! This is heavier and has more small rules to remember, Tekhenu is smoother. Really depends on what you want from the game!

I really enjoyed this game as well. All your criticisms were spot-on but the positives were accurate as well. It definitely isn't for everyone but it is for me.

Only played a full game once so far (first game I ended after the 1st festival, I was too exhausted to continue, since I can only play solo for now, there's even more little rules with the Axomama). Second game effectively ended after the 2nd festival (no more workers). Also, I never used the ability to use gold instead of a god card to be able to place a worker on any symbol, may be powerful some times.

I was looking through your reviews and I don’t see Pret a porter. Supposedly a decent euro. Have you played it and is it good. The heavy euro my wife and I play from time to time is kanban. A decent euro if you haven’t played it. Took a week for me to remember all the rules to it. Game on😀

We have enjoyed Pret aPorter, but have only played it twice. My impression so far is somewhat tainted by an early leader in round one, that seemed «impossible» to catch up to 🤔

I'm sorry I misunderstood this game was made by Daniele Tascini. And you folks introduced this without any mention about that situation. And I was really disappointed about it and then I wrote what I felt here. I realized I was wrong and I deleted it. I'm sorry that I misunderstood. But also I wanna know what you think about Daniele Tascini now because I loved his game and I thought you folks did, too.
