My question is how long are you able to deduct equipment? Just once or yearly?

Hi Thandia! You can deduct anything within that year. So, if you registered your business in 2023 and bought a Cricut in 2023, that will be deductible for the 2023 tax year when you file in 2024. However, If you bought your Cricut in 2020, you cannot deduct that for your 2023 taxes. Hope this helped!

So my customer pay for their orders to be shipped out. Am I writing that off as a business expense? Since I’m technically not keep that shipping cost to myself and spending it to ship out the product.

Shipping costs are considered ordinary and necessary operating expenses, so yes can be written off.
