**To allow for greater options for brake controllers, any habitat built after 2/1/2021 has the wiring for a brake controller installed and the owner can choose a brake controller of their choice. The Autowbrake is no longer provided with habitats.

Glad I have mine delivered last year and my idea is to buy, put in the garage, zero/low maintenance and forget it. Not a deal breaker but one extra step have the dealer to install it. I have no time to do any mods.

@@DesertMoon Autowbrake is not wireless. Now dealers are recommending Curt Echo, which is wireless. Guess some car's 12-volt systems (looking at you Audi) are not compatible with Autowbrake.

The best. Zero maintenance if not adding water to the tank. Low key truly everything we need nothing we don't. The heat is the best no noise. AC is noisy but expected and can be replaced.

Will a cooler for where the portable toilet is? Also, do all the windows open completely or partially and is there a screen of anything?

The Taxa Cricket is my DREAM camper! I've been following Taxa campers since their inception, and have paid close attention to design modifications and upgrades to their campers each year. But I've yet to pull the trigger on a Cricket. Why, you may ask? Well, they DON'T make what I'm looking for... Yet! I want to be able to full customize my Cricket build and options. I want the Timbren axle with lift, lock n' roll hitch (why not make these standard?) and HD stabilizing jacks, but I don't want/need all the other stuff Taxa requires me to take with the Overland Edition. I want the option to add essential screen mesh door covers, to keep the skeeters out, but don't need the awning nor shower tent. No toilet. No kids berth. No Yakima bars. No A/C. And how about insulated tents sides? A lithium battery upgrade? A single propane bottle option? Let me cafeteria-style custom order MY Cricket, then I'm there. Four Wheel Camper does this. Why can't Taxa?

Love the changes for 2021 with the split sink/stove and the extra window! Nice job. My only wish is for the possibility to slide an electric cooler into the spot where the toilet goes.The new rack does not look wide enough.

They sent new tent sides free of charge but I haven't had time to replace. 2 months ago in a 1 week rain no leakage with the old. So addressed.

I really like this trailer. The pop up rocks. Would love to see an upgraded hard side upgrade option. And you should consider a longer trailer option so as to fit a proper queen size bed .. these should be upgrade options. Please & thank you ! And a camp paint job .....

Agree. Furnace exhaust temp will not be good on the AC power cord or Water hose .

Actual around 2000 Ibs without water but gear. Tongue weight 250 increased significantly from the 2020 version (175+) so older Subaru Outbacks (1st cricket was created based on that vehicle from what I heard) no longer work. You'll need a XT or 350ib Tongue Weight capacity or higher vehicle.

When are you going to fix the broken axles on Cricket trailers? My trailer has been - according to TAXA - unsafe and unusable for six months. Many owners have the same problem. TAXA has been unable to fix the issue and now TAXA is selling 2022 models. Are those unsafe too? Or are you choosing new sales over existing customers? As a very unhappy TAXA Trailer owner, I would NOT recommend your product to anyone!

@@bartman1857 Thanks, it's been an absolute nightmare. Buying this trailer was a huge mistake. I'll also add that their customer service has been awful. They are very aware of this widespread problem with their trailers but have been uncommunicative and just unwilling to look into alternative solutions.

​@@factsoverfeelingspam2220 Yeah, it's tough, because there's almost nothing QUITE like the Cricket. But if I went back in time (or I give up on the Cricket and sell it) I would probably go with a Mission Overland - Summit. That competes more with TAXA's Tiger Moth, because it's basically a bed on wheels with an exterior kitchen. But I'd rather cook outside anyway. By the way, TAXA did confirm to me that they are putting only tested-up-to-spec axles on their 2022s. They ALSO made it clear they had a bunch of working axles but, instead of sending one to me to fix my trailer, they put them on new trailers to sell. So if you get a Cricket you are probably getting a working axle. But you're also getting a company that puts sales over their existing customers.
