Ugh THANK YOU for this video!! Feel less alone! Could you make a list of things we would need to prepare/bring for doing our taxes? I just started my business in 2020 so when it was time to file I had like no idea what to bring so I kind of remember from 2021 when I had to file but it would be so helpful if you could let us know what exactly to prepare/ bring with us for our tax appointments 😇

@@lukewtcleland yes I’m from the US! PA actually. I just did mine but I’m thinking about looking for a new tax place with someone who understands what I do or atleast is willing to talk with me more instead of talk to me if that makes sense.. I feel like sometimes older generations just don’t get it and will kind of make fun of you trying to start a business… it’s just in the tone of their voice. The guy was okay but he didn’t know I can photograph without film……😅 I just didn’t really know what all I needed the first time around.. I did this time but was still a bit anxious

@@sofm5543 Definitely. And I think accountants in general don't always understand creative businesses! haha. But it can be hard to find a good accountant, but ask around and get a personal recommendation, that is what I did and I found a great accountant who works just with photographers and other creative entrepreneurs!

i’ve always gotten money BACK when doing taxes. over $1000 to be exact. so now all of a sudden because i’m making more money with photography, i’ll have to OWE?! so strange 😂
