Hello Taya from Australia. Yes , I have followed you for a long time now. I also grew up in the country here in Australia, so I can Identify with very closely with your video today. I just loved it so much. Thankyou. I recognise all the plants and vegetables growing in your Grand parents garden . I especially love that beautiful rich black soil that Ukraine is famous for. Thank you so much again Taya.

Hi Taya (and thanks Rodney) I just love your story! I'm now in my 70's but in 1950 my father died (I was just 3months old) I was sent to live with my Grandparents. “A mixed farm in North West Victoria, Australia” Very much like your town, but not as green, hotter and less water! [On a very hot day I would disappear ‘go under the Wheat Barn, cuddle up to a sheep, they didn’t mind me, yes they felt warm but I was out of the blistering heat] My Grandfather toiled hard farming wheat in the heat, manually with 2 horses. My Grandmother tendered a vegie garden ‘just like yours’ with hens’ and geese. (As a child the geese were a bit scary!) “My old folks worked very hard, but they lived well and all were as fit as a Bull into there 80’s” Love your story. Slava Ukraine. LesC

These Eastern & Central European women prey on lonely middle aged moneyed Western men so they can escape the poverty of living in ex Communist broken economy countries. It’s a scam, they have hidden agendas that require using men. All women are stunningly beautiful until you get to know them. All women have agendas to better their lives by leeching off a man. Stop giving out dopey comments that only show that you’re a simp. Man up.

This village and country side is truly lovely and worth staying for and in.Your Grandma is very clever and capable .I'm from Latvian descent and there were so many things your Granny grows, that my parents did. Including plants English speakers don't grow, like Red currents, Dill, Raspberries. Can't believe how abundant all the plants growth was,.Especially the berries, as we never had enough to preserve in jars, just eat raw or just cook in compote for a meal or two. It was amazing to see a Birthday Cake - just like my mother used to make.I really loved this video. I hope you spend more time around this village. You could learn so much from your Grandma, while she is still fit and doing things. This is where the real heart and much wisdom of Ukraine lies, while set in really lovely nature. Cities are lovely to visit for cultural things like ballets, beautiful old buildings and lovely parks.
