Starting the dumpster on fire behind 7-11, jamming to a tape played on a ghetto blaster that took 20 pounds of D cell batteries and getting that first piece of shit car so you can take off. Jeff’s Camaro only seats four, so if you’re the fourth person besides Jeff to show up at the lunch bell, you weren’t going to get high on stoney bud. Homework was all paper, typewriter and card catalogues.

Hi AN, I'm from Texas. Wanted to give you an inflation report. I am nearly 80. Retired from the oil business in 2011, (although I worked contract, from time to time. Had some health problems in 2017 and haven't worked since, partly to take care of my wife. I'm better now due to back surgery, thank God). My last full-time job, in 2011, my salary put me in the top 1% of earners in the US. I just recalculated it yesterday and for that same salary today I would barely be in the top 10%. US inflation is far higher than government reports. When I first started working after college bacon was at most $1.00 per pound. Before the VID it was $5.00-6.00 per pound. Now it is $12.00 per pound and some vendors are packaging it 12 ounces per package unsteady of 16 Oz. My favorite sandwich is a BLT. So sad. I was raised on the farm much like where you live. Our closest neighbor was my Grandma on an adjoining farm 1.5 miles away. Our next closest neighbor was my other Grandma who was 3 miles away. The nearest village was 10 miles away. I may move back home since my wife of 48 years passed away last year. I love the rural life, raising a garden, fishing and hunting. We'll see I guess. Thank you so much for your reports. I married into a Russian family, and my wife's dacha in the countryside in Kirovskaya was absolutely the best place to spend a week just...living, and being human among family. Thank you for sharing this fun video. I have my own dacha in the USA, but it's deep in the wilderness of Michigan, where my neighbors are not quite as nice - bears, mosquitoes, and teenagers on 4x4s (making a mess of things). :)
