Taylor, consider keeping the 1-needle circular. I use them for temporary life line when I am frogging a project to correct a major mistake in a pattern. 'The remaining tip makes it easy to pick up the stitches in your work. If you want to have the tip-less end to be capped, use a heat sourse (i.e. a wood burner) to melt some of the plastic cable to a cap like a milk or juice container.

Tiny Desk Concerts, how could I not know about this channel. Really enjoying the music, hearing groups I have never heard of. Thank you for your utube suggestions.

As a new knitter, I watch a lot of knitting content and learn so much from it! Other than that, I watch Easy German, a language channel. I moved to Germany 4,5 years ago and am still improving my German by it. The 'Easy Languages' channels also have Easy Spanish, Easy Italian etc. The great thing about it is that they teach you the language from the streets. Highly recommended!
@krisdewild708Ай бұрын
I love the Knit Picks interchangeable needles. It looks as if you are missing the tightening pins that come with them. After screwing the needle to the cord, one needs to put the tightening pin in a small hole at the base of the needle and then tighten. I've never had a problem. I think possibly a paper clip end could do the trick if you don't have the tighteners.
@comfycozytooАй бұрын
I have them too and have same issue as Tayler. I've wondered if that was the solution. I'll try again!
@ThreeKidsNMeАй бұрын
A pushpin actually works in a pinch! I had to resort to that today with mine and it worked beautifully!

I watch KZbin while knitting. I enjoy Becky (Acre Homestead), How to renovate a chateau, Garden Answer, Homeworthy (especially the new segment about Garrow Kedinger and his new Paris Apartment), xomacenna, Trent and Ali (formerly van lifers but now housebound because they have children), among others.

For the knit picks interchangeable needles, you just need to use the key to tighten. Then they're good to go!
@NettietwixtАй бұрын
Personally I found that after a while the knit picks/knit pro needles don't stay done up no matter how tight you initially do them up. I think the thread must wear with use.
@WOOLNEEDLESHANDSАй бұрын
Yes, buuuut the problem is that even with doing that, they still come loose. For me at least.

I find that they stay tightened if I use a non-Knit Picks cable. And you're right. Their cables are not great.

I'll add two more to the list. I think you and your kids would love The Trek Planner. He goes to Google Earth, finds an anomaly on the map, then treks to it. These are desert treks, so lots of hidden places the Ancient Peoples created. Then I also watch The Repair Shop. These are master artisans that repair items that have sentimental value to the person. They spend a lot of time discussing with the owner the reason they want to have it repaired. Or restored. Or made functional. I love valued artisans shows.

Fun video Tayler! There are so many interesting topics to explore! I watch music, food, tiny home tours, Architectural Digest, to name a few. I'm also a cross stitcher and crocheter, so all things fiber arts interest me. Just before your first foodie recommendation, you held up a pair of wooden needles with a swivel tip preparing to get rid of them. Those are, interestingly enough, ChiaoGoo Spin bamboo needles, and your Red Lace cables will fit them. I use them together when I need a little more grip for my silky yarn. :)
