Saying the inflation is from us printing out money for Ukraine is wild. What they printed out $200 billion (I’m being extremely generous) Do you think the 4 trillion they printed out for Covid, that’s 20x (and remember I doubled it to be generous towards Taylor’s point with the actual numbers it’s 40x-50x as much ) might have been more a factor of that??? Sorry Taylor kind of an L to use a Russian bot talking point.

I see both sides and I feel like they are arguing for two very different view points. Taylor is arguing for the average American and hutch is arguing for the American government. Neither side is wrong but I feel they are two different sides. Here in the Midwest as a college student I was struggling to save money because everything now is so expensive. I do more than survive (because I worked 50 hours a week) but as a young adult, owning a home seems almost impossible now. Now let me preface this by saying I did not do enough research in housing in my area, but I go housing through my school (off campus we don’t offer on campus housing) and I pay in the low $600 range every month for a 2 bed 1 bath apartment that I share with 3 other people. And it’s not a luxury apartment by ANY stretch. I see hutch’s point but it’s hard to argue that the life for the average American is getting more and more difficult and sometimes it feels like the average American is the last to benefit from most government spending.
@Zach0451 Жыл бұрын
Buying a home in the Midwest is EXCEEDINGLY affordable unless you want to live in a big city. Stop eating out every other day and wasting money on frivolous things. Build credit without taking on a ton of credit card debt. Save your money.
@DakotaTheRota Жыл бұрын
You basically contradicted yourself and showed the average thought process of 18-35 year old Americans. You didn't search around for places to rent. If you are spending 600 dollars a month and than times that by 4, that it is a luxury apartment in the Midwest. This is the fundamental issue with most young people, you don't look around for things. Also students have always struggled financially, I don't know a single college student that was of college age that had loads of money besides of course rich kids or people who lived with their parents and had zero expenses. Also the average home in city a like Green Bay is about where I would expect it to be for an average house, about 200,000 for 1700 square feet. The reason that homes are increasing so much on average is because of places like LA, in the Midwest homes are cheap and plentiful. You aren't spending 1,000,000 for no reason in the Midwest like you would in LA, not even in Chicago would you spending a million without a reason. Most of the time from what I see, the average person puts themselves in situations that would make it impossible for them to get homes like living in giant cities that have been overcrowded and under housed for decades now, and then they are Pikachu surprised faced that it's getting more expensive as more and more people like themselves move in to these areas. Though after Covid it seems like the trend of living in large cities is basically dead for the most part.
@bensingleton5564 Жыл бұрын
@@DakotaTheRota I honestly just reread what I said and I see what you are saying. With me not looking around I should have rephrased it with “I looked around but I honestly don’t know enough to find what a good deal is”. I could have definitely put myself in a better position and on top of that I decided to live in a larger sized city because I didn’t truly realize it was this much more expensive. I’m from a decent sized area, like 90,000 people, but I wasn’t prepared at all for how much more it was here. When I first moved after high school I took a job that would have been a decent starting pay for a no skill job back in my home state but here it just doesn’t cut it. Definitely was a wake up call on doing my research on things like this
@bensingleton5564 Жыл бұрын
And also quickly realized big cities are not worth it at all for me. Everything seems close together but with traffic it’s the same travel time as my stores back home and these people are wild in the city
