6:30 when I first heard the transition from mic to pickup, I didn't believe it. The pickup sounded too full. I assumed it was an editing error. Then last night at band rehearsal, our guitarist switched from his electric guitar to a Taylor for a song. It sounded just as amazing (tip: he used a sound hole cover to prevent feedback at band volume). Great demo and great playing, Meg. Subscribed.

A friend of mine brought his 210ce over to compare to my 22 year old big baby usa, you would not believe how close they sounded, my strings were 3 years old nano 11s same as him, mine was a tiny bit warmer or duller and a little louder, his crisper and slightly quieter, must be the cutaway. But honestly they were very close. I'm impressed, his setup was lower so to the plunge and removed my saddle after watching KZbin how to do it. Very pleased. The guitar is a winner.

Bought one today. Went in to check out the GS Mini, found it too small, this ticked all the boxes, it blew other guitars i tried out of the water tbh. Left the shop with Taylor for less than €500, with a gig bag... no brainer. Love it already

My wife got me one of these nearly 20 years ago to replace my first starter guitar. The Big Baby sounds more expensive than it is and I still play it everyday. I've put many different strings on it to get different sounds and playability. It's so light and easy to play. Keeps tune very well through the seasons. My old one sounds just as good as this new one. The neck is narrow. 1.69 nut width. I still have to get used to wider necks after playing the Big Baby for so long.

Got me one last Saturday, the acoustic electric version. Thinking of marrying it, in love with it to say the least. Awesome sound and believe it or not I played quite a few Taylors that were more expensive and one was over 4 grand before i tried the big baby and I think it sounded better. ❤

If you're just beginning do yourself justice and get the Big Baby Taylor. Seriously the best all around starter guitar. I say starter but don't let that fool you . I've played for years and can't put it down . If you got small hands even better you can play this .

I actually think the big baby sounds better than many of the high end pricey guitars, even in the Taylor lineup, there's just something about it. I think because it's so light and there not a lot of thick paint all over them. They just sound great. Especially when finger picked.

I think most guitarists fall into two camps: those who love a crisp and bright sound or those who love a deeper warmer tone. If you fall into the former camp, you’re going to love the Big Baby. I got my big baby two weeks ago and love it. Despite being smaller than a full size dreadnought, it is quite loud. It honestly sounds better than some of the thousand dollar Taylors. You’d have to get a $2,500+ Taylor to get a better sounding guitar IMO.

I've played Taylor for a long time, including their electrics. All great guitars. But when I record on acoustic I always go back to my BBT-E. Nothing matches it, not even my 816ce. For an even more "twangy" sound I tune it lower by one step (D becomes C).

Got this guitars (BBTe) 3 days ago, tested everything I could test on the shop. Back in home I played a few chords and I noticed some "clicking/craking" wood noise coming from the joint body/neck. Every now and then I heard this sound and it really scared me it will break at any minute. If I knew this was an issue I would not have purchased this thing at all. I have an old (over 25 years) classical fender guitar (a really budget model) which have never give me a single issue. it stay tune like a champion and plays wonderfull. Im already talking to a Taylor representative, he told me to tight the neck screws (which I could not move a single bit) and/or take it to the dealer shop and/or to the support custome shop in my country. This has been a really bad experience, with such an expensive guitar (u$ 599 + import and internal taxes). I would probably not get a Taylor never again. I had five guitars including this one) in my life, first one was a trashy-broken classical one, then my parents got me a trashy electrical one, after that I got my current Fender CG-11e, after that I got a wonderfull Cort CR 200, which sounds like a real Gibson for a fraction of the money (not me saying it, musician friends with Gibsons). None of them gave me any trouble. Not even the first broken (classical) one which I rescued from my uncle house and "fixed" it the best I could to be able to play it.
