Good talk, pretty spot on, except there’s no reality that a dumpster rental only takes 1 hour lol. Got to drop off from yard to customer, then back empty. Then pickup full dumpster and bring to dump and back to yard. Unless drop off is only 10 minutes away which isn’t likely. Still have a wait at the dump, trailer needs to be hooked up and unhooked, throw some wheel chocks behind wheels, tarp the load, maybe customer wants to chat for a couple minutes, Cmon now! 😂 With a low inventory of dumpsters only way to make any money is eithier charging for extra days or making some money off the disposal weight. Maybe include 1 ton of weight and charge $.05 a pound for overages ($100 a ton) and $25 for extra days after 1 day rental! How you broke it down, like you said doesn’t make any sense to offer that service really. Basically breaking even and taking time away from the real money maker!
