Had mine a week and it’s the best Taylor I have owned. Now selling my 814ce builders edition as I can’t see me picking this up over the 810e…it’s so balanced…incredible 🤩

Thank you for the nice demonstration! I've been saving for a dreadnought for a while and wanted to get a Yamaha FG9R at the end of this year. I only just saw that Taylor released the 810e, and now I'm torn between the two. As far as dreadnoughts go, Taylor hasn't had much to offer me. I was considering the 417 for a while until I discovered the Yamaha FG9R. I own a few Taylor guitars (cheap to really expensive) and love them, especially because of their playability. If you had to choose, which one would you pick, the 810e or the FG9R. and why?

They are both great. Just go play them both with your kind of music and let your heart and soul tell you which one your hard-earned money should go for. To me, I would try to have both if I could as their tones are different and both are special.

Taylor has never used the LR Baggs from the factory for a factory model. Fishman prefix blenders were standard before the ES system.

Glad they didn’t put that awful V-Class bracing which sound thin and one dimensional! In recent years, many other builder have left Taylor in the dust sonically such as Furch, Alvarez (Mastereorks), Yamaha, Yairi, Walden, Guild, and others. It’s good to see Taylor recapturing the sound that made them great!

"Shut Up and play the guitars!" like Frank Zappa would have said
