Quick correction, the neck is actually a roasted maple, not a Pau Ferro

Quite similar, but I prefer the tone of the Lollar P90s in the Eastman. I just ordered a T64/TV-T in "true vintage" finish with the Lollar P90s but without the Bigsby, which is on offer for $360 less than the Bigsby version at Sweetwater (no affiliation with Eastman, Sweetwater, or Haggerty's Music Works :o)

Very nice performance. Anybody know the name of this tune?

The name of this tune is Rise by Eddie Vedder :)

@@haggertysmusicworks lol! and here I was thinking it may be a 50-year-old ditty written by someone famous in the Mando world! :) Thanks!

You can buy a Fishman Performer (3 ways speaker system + 180W) (larger than Fishman Artist in this video) which sounds louder and better than the Taylor for less, also a lot of other great amps like the AER. Taylor is great looking and sounds good but factoring in the price is not the best buy out there. As a Taylor owner I can tell you making sure your ES2 pickup is properly tweaked pays huge dividends.

Sounds the same on phone to me. I recently got the TS9 in red and I do recommend for sure. It's sweet.

And of course you're playing a Taylor guitar. Who do you want to offend?

The main difference is that the custom shop uses Fijian mahogany for their guitars, insted of the Hounduras one used on normal USA production

Could you do a 814ce vs 816ce Builder's Edition? I'm saying 814ce Standard and not the Builder's Edition just to use it as an etalon.

the eastman also comes in a version w/ a trapeze tailpiece. and btw: the pickups in the eastman are proper lollars!

My first thought: Wow - the fishman sounds much better - and how suprised I was hearing the result of the shootout. If it's too obvious who is paying you - you'll convince nobody ;-) .

I think for this price point, it’s really good to start on and will last long, and when you become an expert you can still use it in a lot of applications!
@ampillustrations22 күн бұрын
You should push taylor to intermediate to advanced players. 9/10 times beginners will be scared away by an $700-$800 "beginner" guitar. Set them up with a used Yamaha, Stagg, Takamine, etc. Then, once they've got the chords and scales down, theyll be more willing to take the next leap to a better guitar.
@vincebertsch2 күн бұрын
I think you’d be surprised! A lot of beginner players are willing to pay for quality out of the gate. It gets them something that sounds and plays better, and gets them excited to play more. It’s literally one of our best sellers! 😃

I'm sure that the USA Casinos can be nice, but it doesn't reassure me at all to think of them being made in the Gibson factory. Plenty of lemons come out of there if you're not spending extra on a custom shop
