Hey brother absolutely I will share and also make sure you use both plastic retaining rings on the brake hex that really helps discs stay aligned. And I got the springs from Detroit Performance RC sorry I forgot to mention it in the vid. They are under the baja section on the website and they are 5 bucks plus shipping. Thanks for watching brother! I hope that fixes your issue .

Hpi brake shims. Buy some. Problem with the front arms and where you ground it off as the suspension travels it’ll bind as it compresses. Check it out.
@eastsiderc Жыл бұрын
Yep thats why I had to grind it. Its the brp hubs fault. Now no binding at all with it ground down a little. And what exactly would you shim because there is no way to space the steering knuckle further away from the lower a-arm ? It has to stay where it stays. You never have anything nice to say.🤣

I have a question... I was running my thirty eight c c thirty degree north, got it dialed in runs awesome. I was driving on the street and got too close to my car and hit the tire and the only thing It broke was the shock end that goes into the upper control arm. Will the losi shock shaft fit in that 30゚ North shock? I had to buy a whole new front set of shocks to fix it. They are not threaded..
@eastsiderc Жыл бұрын
Right , you’re correct they are not threaded and I do believe a losi shaft may fit those shocks but Im not 100% sure buddy.

Unrelated topic but what would cause me to keep breaking dog bone pins on a rovan 46cc baha 5ts sand rail. Bought HD drive shafts and snapped a pin within 2 minutes of running it. This truck has been worked on more than I have ran it.
@eastsiderc Жыл бұрын
Well brother unfortunately the MaxTS and Max5T cannot take to much torque stress on them tiny 4mm pins. Also if the suspension is incorrectly set up then the angle of the driveshafts under load becomes compromised thus breaking pins. You need to run 1000 weight diff oil in all four of the big bore Rovan shocks. This will greatly help with the suspension. Also should help your drive train as well.

Sometimes a build fights every step of the way. Just gotta keep after it. We gotta drill and tap my buddy's exhaust bolts cuz they stripped last weekend. Do you use red loctite on your exhaust bolts?
@eastsiderc Жыл бұрын
This is the truth bro sometimes they are a fight! These big bores are nothing like the little guys. Okay bro so I never use red loctite on anything rc. The best thing to use for your exhaust bolts is Permatex Ultra Black Silicone . It holds like glue withstands mega heat and its oil n gas resistant! Its all I used and Ive never ever had my exhaust bolts come loose. Its great stuff. I also use it as a sealer seal pipe to the head if I dont have the correct size gasket! Theres a 100 gaskets plus in that tube of that stuff it’s awesome!
@thatoneguy2756 Жыл бұрын
@@eastsiderc ok sounds good, I have some ultra black permatex. You use it directly to engine/header flange as a substitute for a gasket? That's awesome!
@eastsiderc Жыл бұрын
Yes and glob it on the threads or your exhaust bolts to seal them in the head . They will come right out with ease and not bring the threads with the screw! I love the stuff! I apply it and let it set up overnight and no leaks and no loose bolts!

Hey brother, what 2 stroke oil and mixed you recommend for a stock Baja buggy ??
@eastsiderc Жыл бұрын
I run VP c12 fuel and Amsoil Saber mixed at 50:1 which is an overkill for that oil because its good for 100:1. Why do I love it and recommend it? Because I have tested with it myself and I see the results, and secondly Amsoil is the very first company in the entire world to invent synthetic oil! And thirdly Amsoil has tested saber at 300:1 at ridiculous rpms For hours n hours against other oils and no harm to the piston or ring its crazy how slick this stuff is. Some people swear by dominator but that has friction additives in for dirtbike clutch plates. And its only good for 60:1 and its quite gooey for brapping around it was designed for two stroke race bikes held full tilt around the track , that keeps things cleared out. Ive tried both oils, Ive seen the differences in the insides of my exhaust pipes during cleaning intervals and I can honestly say Amsoil Saber is all I will ever use!
