Pretty you could get radio interference from a carbon plate with servos's mounted to it. Carbon fiber creates alot of vibration cause its so stiff. Thats why we use rubber grommets on the servo's when mounting to carbon fiber plate in 1/8th scale racing especially with the gas car. It can also shorten servo life. Also google says Yes, carbon fiber can conduct electricity. It's a conductor because it can carry an electrical current, similar to metal.
@eastsiderc12 күн бұрын
Yeah Im aware its conductive , even in epoxy resin. However no issues here. Bonehead RC makes everything in carbon fiber , no issues. We mount out 1/5 and 1/8 sizes servos into billet aluminum, also conductive , again no issues. It may just be the servos or radio system you are using. I use high dollar electronics and high dollar servos and I dont have any issues with any of my 1/5 gassers! But even my cheap servos do not have any interference. When I went to Futaba any issues I ever had went away!
@stuch7777712 күн бұрын
@@eastsiderc just a heads up. I am a sponsored HB Racing driver i use airtroinics radio grear and protech and savox servos. when i drove for mugen seiki in some of their earlier cars we had problems mounting servos without rubber grommets when they used carbon fiber servo trays go bad early.. I guess its because you don't race or run that much. Now most if not all mfr in off road 1/8th gas and electric use plastic radio trays and servo trays.
