TAYLOR "RCMAX" 80 Kraken VEKTA!

Hi all,
Back out with the RCMAX 80cc engined vekta5, this time geared up and running the bigger 190 size BRP tyres. This was a big improvement!.... now the torque of the motor really gets a chance to shine throwing this solid/ heavy car around like its a featherweight! Great fun!
As you can see in the video the exhaust header came loose causing the tune to lean out/ high rev on idle. Otherwise all is pretty much dialled in now ;)

I don’t know how to connect the 36v motor to the speed controller then make it work through the remote, there is also smoke machine, sound module, amplifier, horns, lighting, I’ve no idea how to make it all work through the remote

after having both which do you personally think is better the kraken or dragon hammer and do they break more or less parts than something like an xmaxx obviously I know they're totally different beasts with the kraken and dragon hammer being far better engineered but the size adds weight so just curious how they compare to something like that for wear and tear etc

despite both being solid axle, they are very different. the dragon is great value and i think looks better but the kv5 is very nice. needs quite a lot in upgrades and they are not cheap plus it weighs a TON! ;) breaking wise...well it depends how you use them! i put my xmaxx through a lot and it rarely breaks plus parts are cheap, the 1\5 stuff is more expensive, weighs a lot so if you crash it can be costly! you can't jump a kv5 or dragon like an xmaxx!..... but you can't get petrol thrills from the xmaxx of course..

@@RCmaxxUK I'm aware they're different beasts and you can't send them like an xmaxx or 4s/6s arrma. they're clearly geared more for racing around and bashing on super rugged terain that even xmaxx would struggle on I'm also aware that kraken and dragon hammer are set up totally different there stance alone is different. then there's the fact one has centre diff one a slipper clutch so handle different and way more differences. different rc cars, truck etc are meant for different things I'm aware I meant using them how they're meant to be used how do they fair on wear and tear and which do you personally prefer whether it be because one's more fun or one's better for racing whatever was just asking your preference

Hi mate. the 80 is a torque monster that loves a nice big gear to pull..... the 55 a high rev engine... high as in dam its going to blow up! type high ;) love the 55 as it just screams!! I have only tried the 55 once myself in a mates car. the 80cc i have tried in a few cars and of course own my own. The 80 does vibrate a lot..... being that much bigger piston/stroke.... so that's something to bear in mind. lock nuts and blue thread lock r key ;)

@@RCmaxxUK oh absolutely!!! I bathed my Supreme 55 Baja Build in blue loctite and plan on doing it double time on my Hybrid with the 80 Supreme! Without loctite forget it! You would lose all your bolts in under 5 minutes with these engine's! 😂 thanks for getting back brother!🤝👍👊💥💨💨💨

Very nice. I have veketa coming with rcmax 80cc supreme soon. Just waiting on pipe. I notice the tires held up well. Have you gotten the opportunity to try RCMAX new wheels?
