@woodenseance30388 ай бұрын
I think the idea is that children need pretty large portions of better food. Not small portions of pizza and tater-tots. And your diet needs to change with your activity, like if you’re in sports or not.
@sofaninja05528 ай бұрын
@@ASwagPecan smaller portions during puberty don't exactly correlate to healthier adults, we are talking about school lunches....but yes we need smaller portions of fast food and sugar and an increase in other foods that are associated with a healthy diet. Sugar and grease turns to fat, protein is burned much faster and creates more lean muscle tissue which in turn raises your base metabolism because a gram of fat is like 9 calories and a gram of muscle is only 4.

It became such a problem that students would just start buying the side items in doubles bc the total was only $2.75

@@johnnydjiurkopff That's exactly how it works here too, there's no single town that is that size, the area is the (Name) County Central, which included like 4 little towns that have all consolidated. The federal school lunch rules were meant to make school lunches healthy if the school districts bothered to do any more than follow the exact letter of the law. Ultimately, poor administration in districts across the country lead to lunches being worse in many places. An unintended consequence of a well-meaning cause.
