So on Closure ...I like to think that "drums/noise" at the beginning is the sound of a big machine failing... as in Big Machine Records failing, and Taylor doesn't need Scott and Scooter's closure. She's not a situation that needs to be handled. She's moved on.

As far as I know she didn’t write any “with” Bon Iver. She and Joe wrote both exile and evermore by themselves, just the two of them, and sent the song to Justin Vernon, who wrote part of the bridge in exile and his bridge in evermore. The tempo change was written by Joe, who is playing the piano on the track. It’s one of my favorite songs she’s ever written. Exile gives me goosebumps since first listen, but evermore I seem to like much more in the long term. Lyrically on another level.

Marjorie is about her grandmother who was an opera singer. She uses a background tape of her grandmother singing on the final chorus and lists her in the credits. She passed away when Taylor was 13.

Aaron Dessner is part of the band The National. Justin Vernon who is the frontman of Bon Iver, have a band together with Aaron Dessner called Big Red Machine. That is how his collaboration with Taylor Swift happened, through Aaron Dessner.
