Taylor is not an ordinary artist. She z a real artist.her lyrics are not straight forward and literally mean what they say. They have other several meanings that requires your brain to think. I love how she keeps my brain busy. She is a genius. True artist.

I feel like she chose Come Back, Be Here over this one and was hoping to save this song for 1989. Red isn't a pure pop album so it makes sense that she chose a limited amount of pop songs for it. It definitely would've been fitting for 1989 though!

No cause Taylor's songwriting is so detailed, layered and such a carefully crafted narrative. The whole time she sings "Hoping 'it' (the message) gets to you", but then at the very end, the last line, she switches it up to "Hoping _this_ gets to you." Indicating that the song is the message in the bottle!! This song was the message the whole time! I wanna throw myself off a cliff!!! [Ik the lyrics on this video say "it" at the end but no
