She’s making excuses for why he treats her so badly. Ya know, like when little girls are told that a boy is being mean to her because he likes her. She’s his queen… but only of sand castles (castles built on a weak foundation) he destroys. Also, she kind of references the movie “Toy Story”, when the boy broke the toys that used to be his favorites.

i love how taylor changed some of the chorus lyrics. what i mean by this is in the first chorus she says "cuz it fit too right puzzle pieces in the dead of night" & in the 2nd chorus she says "cuz i knew too much there was danger in the heat of my touch." then she says my fav lyric in the whole song "he saw forever so he smashed it up"
