Let me explain to you djsjshshs : so the concept of it was that Taylor in a hood is the representation people made of her , it’s her reputation . And her reputation seems stronger than the “naked Taylor” . Naked Taylor is in a cage and tries everything she can to break free . But she doesn’t succeed and Taylor in a hood is making fun of her (when she touches the cage and the naked Taylor falls) . But then the REAL Taylor (naked one) understands she doesn’t need other things to break free (magic, horse , weapons) she only needs herself because she’s the strongest . When she breaks free it symbolizes this new era IRL . She doesn’t let the media tell her what to do or how she has to be , she’s killing the old Taylor who felt like she needed to be a certain way . This new Taylor is happy now (hence the last scene when we can see her smile and cry )

The video is a representation of how Taylor is finally coming forward. She’s going to outshine her “reputation” that the media is making her out to be the past 10 years. The “media” TAYLOR is the one in all black, actual TAYLOR is the one in the tan jumpsuit. The representation of the horse and Taylor’s black armor coming out while in the box is TAYLORs first attempts of out shining the media’s perspective. When she shatters the box it represents how TAYLOR is finally gonna get the final say when the album “Reputation” comes out on November 10th.

The robot taylor (one with the cloak) is the media’s portrayal of her, she’s trying to keep the ‘real taylor’ locked in the glass but as soon as the robot taylor touches the glass it breaks and shows the more powerful one aka the real taylor.

I think that theone in the glass box was dangerous for the robot taylor.. we see the skin of the one in black disapear. She a robot. Shes the bad one. But the good one, the real taylor finally gets out and meet the world for the first time. The old taylor cant come to the phone right now. Why? Oh! ‘Cause shes dead! The one in black is the old taylor and the other one is the new taylor...

Ok read this analysis: Ok so RFI MV is all about Taylor fighting her fake, made up reputation. The Taylor in the hoodie represents Taylor’s reputation as an evil person and a serial-dating machine (also when that Taylor is defeated you can see that she is a robot) The trapped Taylor represent the real Taylor and how her reputation gets her into trouble even though it’s the MEDIA’S perspective. The hooded Taylor tries to control the real Taylor by giving her a robotic body which the real Taylor ends up turning it into an armor to fight back! (using negativity and hate as a weapon). The real Taylor struggles and fails a few times until she realizes that her voice (her music) is the only way to escape this; you see her scream before the last chorus which breaks the glass and destroys the fake Taylor the media has created. And then the light enters the place and she sheds a tear of joy proving she’s human and has feeling like all of us. There are also anime references like when her eyes became more blue and brightening which in anime represents becoming more powerful due to anger or the need for revenge.

Yo my favorite part was how you played the video in its entirety, even during the times when you weren't really reacting to it.
