This song holds a special place in my heart. The day this video was released, was a very hard day for me. I left my family for the first time and went to France for my education. I was staying with a family who treated me so badly. They yelled at me all the time and looked down on me. In All Too Well we had a climax because at the end of that song she wanted to show off her pain in a sort of "furious" way. It was the cry of desperation of a 20 year old girl. Now, 7 years later, she's a woman pushing 30 and she's got a different way to react to hurtful situations: the general tone is more somber and reflective, mirroring her (new?) ability to cope in an adult-like way. She's in a stable relationship and she can reflect on her fear of losing it all in a sad but mature state of mind. No need for a climax.
