At 48 years old, everything now hits different. She gave all of us warning signs, but I think we all believed he was the one. This song hits me in the heart and gut! ❤

And at 48 you still have the mentality of a teenager. My grandma had 5 grandchildren at your age. Yet here you are...

I agree with the comments, album is a work of art, a masterpiece. Really shows off her vocals, symbolism, and poetry through music.

A Black Dog worker was interviewed on camera and said that Blonde hair man was a frequent customer. Taylor recorded the song May 18th, 2023. And she was dating Healy at the time, and for weeks after that. SO 100% this song is about Joe.

It's also the name of the bar in Cork, Ireland that Matty Healy was hanging out in when his band was playing around this time.

The words of these lyrics are so heart rending and true. Taylor Swift really gives you understanding the true meaning of words. What a gift she has! A brilliant soul.

I cried whilst hearing this beautiful song. Somehow Taylor managed to perfectly capture the feeling of losing someone. I recently fell out with my friends of 9 years and this song just captures what I been feeling lately.

Origin of Black Dog: mid 17th century (as a name for a small or counterfeit coin); the sense ‘melancholy or depression’ dates from the late 18th century, and may derive from folk tales of ghostly black dogs tormenting people. Winston Churchill used the expression when alluding to his periodic bouts of depression.

The cohesion between the sonic of screaming and its meaning, it actually is shivering, and the way the last screaming is silent. So thouroughly thought out.

This is so heartbreaking to listen this song...like yesterday she was happy because of him and dedicated her whole album to him and now she is dying screaming MISS AMERICANA SAYING GOODBYE TO HER LONDON BOY
