I think the key to appreciate Taylor’s is listening closely to the lyrics, knowing that she wrote them (along with the melody). They’re relatable. Also, look at her musicianship. She sings live, she plays the guitar and the piano live while singing. She doesn’t just perform, she writes, sings and plays her songs. It’s not just the end product that you listen to in the album, but how much she’s involved in the process. Also, don’t listen only to her most known hits like Shake It Off, they do not make her justice. There are so many hidden gems and that’s why she is such a good album sellers, because most songs on her albums are worth listening to, not just the singles.

actually these data are from chartmasters and every album means how much the era of that album, including the singles, sold in EAS (equivalent album sales)… so singles are included in these measurements, it’s not just pure album sales. It’s equivalent album sales, which incorporate everything (downloads, pure sales, streaming, of both albums and singles alike, there are math formulas to weight all the formats)

Ri doesn't hold a candle to Taylor's success, especially in terms of album sales. She is a singles artist who achieves some decent singles chart success because of her music genre being RnB, Pop, EDM etc. Taylor Swift made 3 country albums first, then 1 country and pop album and then 3 pop albums, 2 folk albums and then 1 synth pop album and yet managed to achieve global success with this type of discography. And what's more impressive is the fact that she has amazing longevity. So obviously it's not a big deal for someone like Taylor Swift to have these amazing EAS way before even re-recording. For an artist who can casually gross $2B with her tour, sales like these are literally nothing for her. It's almost criminal how people downplay her success and over exaggerate other artists' success just because they think the world revolves around their fav. Her albums have always charted altogether for years and years on the Billboard 200 albums chart even if it's more than a decade old and this has been the case even before the re-release of her albums. Meanwhile Rihanna struggles to go #1 on Billboard 200 albums chart, let alone stay on the charts for years. You are just an ignorant person who is not up-to-date with the charts. Nobody, who knows about Taylor's sales can make these outrageous claims. She outsold Riri with EAS even by the time of 2018. And speaking of Ri's albums selling 14M EAS, Taylor Swift's sales shown here are not even with updated pure sales. If you add that, Taylor will easily look like someone who has 2 times the EAS of someone like Ri. Don't be delusional in your favouritism.
