thebarcodestv It doesn't dive bomb at the headstock at all. It's a tough call on which I prefer because I like them both. The T5z is more electric feeling with the smaller body and radius, very comfortable. However, I really dig the original T5 and grab that instead sometimes. To me it's like a Les Paul vs a 335 they're both great! I would recommend trying both out. If you can't and your replacing and electric guitar get the T5z.

I like the PRS HB!! a lot! However, I've always felt with that guitar and others you weren't really buying it to have an acoustic tone by itself, it was way way to color and add to the tone but not use on it's own - if that makes sense. The acoustic sound that the T5 does is really fantastic by itself and you can do the "blend" thing in the first position with an electric amp and pa or pedals, etc. Regarding the T5z Pro, the pro has a maple top rather than spruce so it's going to be brighter and MORE electric than the spruce. Honestly I think the Koa is the best and my favorite but it's not cheap. ;)

If you buy the T5z being the latest release, will you lose some of the acoustic ability meaning acoustic sound compared to the T5? Also, playing without an amp, is there a better acoustic sound with the T5 vs the T5z? I assume that with a smaller hollow space, you sacrifice the acoustic sound. I wish you had played both guitars in your demo in acoustic mode :)

What are the advantages of a smaller neck radius on a guitar

I’ve never experienced any, the smaller radius can mean strings pinch out when you try to bend the strings

That depends on what you mean. The plugged in acoustic sound is just as good. It's the exact same system just on a smaller guitar. The unplugged acoustic tone of the T5z is quieter and thinner than the T5 but neither on of them is really made for that. The only time I would use them for that is sitting on the couch practicing scales and they are both equally suited to that task.
