Every time the veil is pulled back on Conan, we find out he’s aged into the absolute grandfather of the comedy circle he’s presides over and everyone is stunned by how down to earth he is. For example, I know one of the Kardashians flew their plane last week so far it cost more than my yearly teacher salary just in fuel costs. conan is for the young & upcoming talents what he didn’t have when he was their age and i think that’s so cool. i love when highly influential people use their platforms to uplift others in the same boat/industry instead of seeing them as competition or less than, as we’ve seen before with the others. really helps break the toxic cycle of separatism and tyranny, especially in the realm of hollyweird. conan feels like one of the few REAL people in the entertainment bizz and that’s what makes us “normal folk” gravitate towards him. this type of open charisma doesn’t come from isolating yourself in the rich gated communities and only surrounding yourself with people in your field. he knows how to be a real human being within this fake ass industry because he leaves those gates to actually speak with people all around the world face to face. when you do something like that for a living it becomes evident how much we really aren’t all that different from one another, just bc it looks like it on the surface doesn’t mean it actually is that way. most of us deserve the dreams we want to go after. and conan is a public figure who understands that & is brave enough to proceed without attachments to the outcome and do what he feels needs to be done in order to help people out, especially when he’s been in their shoes before. it’s a refreshing thing to see fs💗🙏✨

Conan has not aged in twenty years. I watched a clip that I thought was contemporary content and turned out was from 2002. Likewise, I once was scrolling through the canon on random shuffle and thought it was a couple of years ago because Conan looked like the years had caught up to him the way he resembled a spent haggard drifter, but without the optimism; however it was during that whole Tonight Show Leno debacle era and the stress aged him two decades for that one show nite; he looks younger today. Truth is, those Harvard Benjamin Bottons experiments he did during university are really paying off now. But, the fascinating thing aside from our real time Dorian Grey humorist is that his comedy is timeless. The rule of thumb is comedy dates the fastest and worst in most cases in pop culture, but Conan's material and stylings continue to speak universal truths in their time and also across canyons of space and time to arrive fully intact and still ever so relevant. Thank our lucky stars in our quick window of time on the cosmic calendar that our multiverse got the version where Conan exists. Truth is, the podcast is Conan needs a friend, but the world is his friend for he's been ours when we needed him most: the last thirty years and beyond. I honestly don't know what I would have done without the three decade long comfort of knowing that ginger time traveling, reverse aging, multiverse hopping, inner-dimensional comedic being wasn't there all along. Thanks friend. Catakye!

It's great hearing these perception/ reality conversations. I tell everyone whatever you think about a person, (attractive, higher position, more money, etc) it probably is a lot different than the reality. At the end of the day we are all people, we all have insecurities. Also, most people started right where the inexperienced started. Driving a shitty car, eating ramen, just trying to make ends meet. I am now in a point in my career where I mentor young folks and this is what I tell them. Look, don't be intimidated. Just go and talk to that person learn from them ask questions. Most likely they would love an opportunity to tell people their stories, their foibles, mistepps, 'don't do what I did kid' things. Most successful people end up with sycophants around them who them they are perfect Gods gift to whatever. Asking questions about their early days gives them something they sometimes rarely get an opportunity to be themselves again. That 20ish version of themselves when the world was full of opportunities because they had nothing.
