Thanks for sharing Taylor. The view is absolutely amazing! I knew living in NYC was expensive, but the cultural exposure can make it worth it. Being from the midwest, life is a bit slower and cheaper out here. I own my house in Indiana with 5,600 square feet (4 bedroom / 4 full bath) with 2.5 acres of yard space and forest for a $1,600 per month mortgage. Being able to work from home as a coder, no commuter, a sky full of stars at night, and 35 minutes from Lake Michigan and the dunes make the slower pace so worth it.

Those tile ideas are brilliant! I also have those tiles in my kitchen. You could add a couple outward facing tiles to your vanity shelf and make a sit down vanity. You seem like someone that likes things to look sleek and lean so could also add a sheet for a curtain across the front of the vanity in case you have a dinner party or friends over or just want to make it a vlog background.

JESUS KNOCKS ON YOUR HEART AND LONGS FOR YOU TO ANSWER! HE DOESN'T WANT TO SEE ANYONE PERISH INTO HELL. GOD LOVES YOU SO HE GIVES YOU FREE WILL AND A CHOICE TO ACCEPT HIM OR REJECT HIM. TO LOVE HIM OR TO LOVE SIN/THIS WORLD. CALL UPON JESUS & ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS! SURRENDER YOUR WILL & YOUR LIFE TO HIM AND HE WILL GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN! PICTURE YOUR BEST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HEAVEN! NOW PICTURE YOUR WORST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HELL! HE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT SO IF YOU REJECT HIM YOU WILL BE SEPARATED FROM HIM & HIS BLESSINGS (LOVE, PEACE, JOY, HOPE, REST, ETC). IN HELL YOU WILL BE ALONE WITHOUT GOD OR PEOPLE, YOU WILL BE HOPELESS, YOU WILL BE IN DESPAIR & AGONY FOREVER! GOD'S STANDARD FOR HEAVEN IS PERFECTION AND ONLY JESUS (THE SON OF GOD/GOD IN THE FLESH) LIVED THAT PERFECT LIFE! HE LAID DOWN HIS LIFE & TOOK THE WRATH OF THE FATHER ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS! GOD IS JUST SO HE MUST PUNISH SIN & HE IS HOLY SO NO SIN CAN ENTER HIS KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. IF YOU ARE IN CHRIST ON JUDGEMENT DAY GOD WILL SEE YOU AS HIS PERFECT SON (SINLESS SINCE YOUR SINS ARE COVERED BY JESUS' OFFERING). YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS' GIFT/SACRIFICE & PAY FOR YOUR OWN SIN WITH DEATH (HELL) BUT THAT SEEMS PRETTY FOOLISH! GOD SEES & HEARS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID & DONE. YOU WONT WIN AN ARGUMENT WITH HIM & YOU CANT DEFEND ANY OF YOUR SINS TO HIM. WE'RE ALL GUILTY WITHOUT ACCEPTING JESUS' SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS! MUHAMMAD DIDN'T DIE FOR YOUR SINS, BUDDHA DIDN'T DIE FOR YOUR SINS, NO PASTOR/PRIEST/MARY OR SAINT DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO IDOLS OR FALSE GODS DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO ACTOR OR CELEBRITY DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO ATHLETE OR POLITICIAN DIED FOR YOUR SINS! JESUS CHRIST ALONE DIED FOR YOUR SINS & WAS RESURRECTED FROM THE GRAVE! HE IS ALIVE & COMING BACK VERY SOON (THESE ARE END TIMES) WITH JUDGEMENT! PREPARE YOURSELVES, TURN FROM SIN & RUN TO JESUS! IT STARTS WITH ASKING HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS & INVITING HIM INTO YOUR HEART/LIFE, SURRENDER ALL TO HIM! IT'S ABOUT A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR CREATOR. HE KNOWS YOUR PAIN & TROUBLES, TALK TO HIM LIKE A BEST FRIEND! ASK HIM TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU & HELP YOU TO BELIEVE IF YOU DOUBT! DON'T WAIT TO CRY OUT! NO ONE IS PROMISED TOMORROW! HE LONGS FOR YOU TO INVITE HIM IN, HE LOVES YOU MORE THAN ANY PERSON EVER COULD, HE CREATED YOU! Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."-John 14:6 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."-Matthew 10:33 “For the wages of sin is death (hell), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”-Romans 6:23

I applaud the thought and creativity that you applied in rethinking and maximizing the space. The approach to storage with the bins, small ottomans and bookshelves is spot on. I like that you weren't afraid to "get your hands dirty" in laying this out. You have more mechanical skills than many guys. You have a tool bin! Excellent! Obviously, most guys wouldn't think of this. I once had a roommate who created a night stand out of an empty cardboard box turned upside down with a pillow case mostly covering it. It was as ugly as it sounds.

Wow this brings back memories. Real talk. I knew a guy who found an abandoned space on a high rise in East London. Like, it was basically a HUGE attic utterly worn down with spider webs and mold and what not. He kept watching it for months and even a couple years, and noticed no one ever went in or out of it. It was bolted shut, but the hinges weren't connected so the entrance still opened. He was a Mechanical Engineer with contracting experience, and basically he flipped the place completely upside down, and turned it into a place almost like Taylor's. He managed to tap into the main electricity and even water supply, had a fridge, sink, shower, even washer and dryer. This was 2016, and he was still living there last time I visited London in 2019, right before Covid shut everything down. The dude was living rent free in London for at least 4 years.

Just stumbled on this by accident, when I seen the rent, I had to see it. I'm IMPRESSED, to say the least, especially your innovative thinking on what you and your roommate done on utlizing every square foot of it. I just couldn't believe the price at first, I mean, it's Manhattan. I can tell you, that a decent 1-bdr here in Dallas is about $1400 with similar appliances. But y'alls view is awesome, very city-ish, really cool and great looking place. One of my daughters, here in Dallas (and her hubby) is paying $2500, 2-bdr/2-bath (for guest bdr & bath), 2-outdoor balconies, with gym, shaded pool and rooftop clubhouse ... plus an additional, I think, $500 a month for a 2 car garage unit, that connects to it, nice community and view, but Dallas is a rural/urban mix, much different ... I used to live in Brooklyn/Flatbush years ago. Thanks for the tour!

I've lived in NYC all my life. Even though there's been some downward pressure on rents due to COVID-19, I was highly skeptical the shared rent was $1,875/month. Fast forwarding the video to 14:37, I was correct that $1875/month is the rent per person. When their current lease expires, the rent will most likely increase to something like $2,200/month per person. This doesn't make it a bad deal, but it's important to keep it real.

I found your video while looking for apartment tour ideas on youtube a week ago, your video was the third on the search list, and since then, I binge watch more than 50% of your videos. I like your energy and how spontaneous and ambitious you are. I like how you are open and transparent as much as you can about the financial stuff, and it is really helpful when you talk about your youtube channel growth. I think these little pieces of information are now lost as youtube became something everyone now knows about, or people don't speak about it openly, you do have a way of explaining things which is not boring. I will keep watching your channel ... I know I will learn so much from you, you changed my insight about money and investment in general ... Adding to the quality of your content I think this channel is something I will look for often, even rewatching some videos when things are not going well or down ... It is a proof to what you said in one video about your personality test. True :) For the record .... now 63.8K subscribers I think a year from now it will be more than 10 times that ;)

As someone who lived here all their life and is passionate about NYC, I'm not sure where people get this idea from! New York City has a fair bit of nature, it's a city with 5 different boroughs. It's only really the business districts that doesn't have as much nature since it doesn't make sense to pack greenery there due to no room. This is why we have a huge park in the middle of Manhattan instead but in every other borough there's parks and squares everywhere full of greenery. You should certainly come here! What makes New York City the best city is that there is every possible diverse neighborhood in the planet. Fast paced high rise districts such as this (my favorite), mid rise density with greenery you're looking for (I also enjoy these) and even suburbs full of big houses and backyards with nature as if it was a totally different state! Each neighborhood is unique and with different levels of nature, buildings, shops, and street life. I wish more cities had the diversity NYC had which makes it so amazing.
