@Taylor Davis - Behind the Strings Thank you Lara and thank you Taylor, I started playing Violin for you. It is a hard experience but it has been worth it. Thanks for your music. I would like more sheets of more songs to play, but it's difficult to me to play for example Gerudo Valley (Taylor Version), Halo (Lara Version). Any advice to start playing Gerudo or Halo. Regards.

I really can identify with your story. At the age of 13/14 I was bullied a lot and used videogames to escape reality. My family was really worried because I almost became addicted to playing videogames and hide myself from the real world. One day I met my future violin teacher at school and she started to teach me lessons for free. Then my grandfather got me a violin and payed for the lessons. He died two weeks ago. I will never quit! You are a living example for the fact that if someone tries hard enough you can find your way and do what you really like. Thank you for sharing your story Taylor 💜🎶

+slystrings Thanks for sharing! I also use video games to get through tough times, I was also an addict where I would play video games for hours on end, its amazing how it engages your mind and you get absorbed in it!

Congrats on 6 years!! I've been watching for 5 of them, and it's been amazing to see all the great things you've done and accomplished in that time. It was so great to get to see you play live and meet you in Philly last year, after all those years of watching on KZbin and the small interactions we've had in post here, or on Facebook and on PledgeMusic during your campaign there. Can't wait to hopefully see you again this year on tour! Thank you so much for all the amazing music and hard work these past 6 years!! Excited for the next 6 and beyond! You're the best

Can identify with your school times too - always supposed to be the best times but I wouldnt agree :) But coming through and looking back on ones own achievements is great isnt it ? Will keep following - all the VERY best of luck with your future. And yes we are all hear I think I can safely say supporting you all the time...... John

I would have never guessed what you have been through and how you have overcome so many obstacles from bulling, and depression to being an inspiring success on you tube and now all over the world. I was wondering why you did not go into an orchestra, but now I understand why. Usually people look on video games as a negative, but you used the medium to actually help you deal with tough times...I am truly grateful that it worked along with your love for the violin. Yes you have been Blessed and I know that will continue to be so. A career on KZbin and one that you love and are truly grateful to those who have supported you and inspired. Awesome!!

I love that this journey has fueled your skills and propelled you to create albums and go on tour--I was pleased to meet you after one of your shows! I love your music, your attitude, and your kind soul. You have a heart of gold, and I feel such good vibes whenever you play your violin, or when you're just giving us updates on the things that are going on in your life. The positivity and warmth that you radiate are what make you stand out from other artists, and I thank you for it. Half of the time when you follow someone on the internet you dont see who they are as a person; just what they post on the internet. So i think it's amazing to be able to connect with you through youtube and your app (which i think is so neat by the way!), because ever since i discovered your channel a few years back you have been inspiring me musically. Seeing you release new content brightens my entire day! I hope that one day I can achieve my dream (which im still trying to figure out, haha!) just like you have. I can't wait to see what you do next, and i hope you're touring in north texas later this year! Thank you for sharing your story and who you are as a person with us, Taylor. Lots of love from DC! -Brad

+SirensAreSingingMySong Thank you for all the nice words Brad! I'm glad you're enjoying the app, I love it so much! Don't worry, I"m sure you will be able to achieve your dreams, and at least for me, I really didn't have any idea that this was my dream when I started out, it just kind of evolved into that over time so don't worry if you don't have it all figured out yet, I certainly didn't!! I'll definitely be back to Texas the next time I tour the US!

This has been really really inspiring to watch! It's nice to hear that you started out like any other person and just kept going and teaching yourself new things over the course of your career. The part about starting out on KZbin was particularly fascinating because I've been getting more interested in social media and what you can do with Wordpress, Twitter, etc. as an (independent) artist recently. So thank you for the insight!

Wow Taylor, thank you so much for sharing your testimony with us! It's so awesome to hear how successful your career has been this far, especially considering all the hardships you've gone through your whole life... its very redeeming! Very inspirational story, and one that a lot of people can relate to. I must say though, what I really love about your music, is the passion you pour into it. You see so many KZbinrs jumping on the hype train and playing songs from games they have never even played just because they're popular and can rack up views, (for instance It seems like every KZbinr and his mother is playing the Undertale OST), but you are seemingly the only exception! because you had such a connection to games as a kid, (and still do) you were able to make covers directly from the heart. And that is what impresses me so much. Thank you for your amazing performances, and congratulations on six years! Hope to see you back in GA!! Blessings! Pillipians 4:13 EDIT: The Undertale bit sounded rude. I only meant it seems a bit over hyped as of late. It is really a fantastic soundtrack!
@TaylorDavisStudio8 жыл бұрын
+Joshua Barger Hey Joshua, thanks so much for the nice comments! Haha in regards to the Undertale OST, I'm actually planning something from it but I haven't had a chance to play the game yet so that's why I haven't done it yet ;) I haven't played all the games I've covered, but I think I'm close to having played 90% of the games of songs I've covered haha so I'm just missing a few. Thankfully there are enough people out there who love this type of music too for me to share it with, so I've never felt like I needed to go cover songs that I didn't feel a connection with. I'm so fortunate that I've never felt like I needed to search for a record deal either because that has the potential to limit your creative freedom a lot. You guys have really supported me enough by purchasing my music, streaming it from legit sites, Patreon/Pledge Music, etc., so I don't even feel tempted by something like a record deal :) God bless!

Your music has been able to reach down deep and pull out a piece of my childhood. When I cam across your music and heard your rendition of Frog's Theme, Dreams of Another Shore Near Another World, and Cid's Theme I broke down. You inspire me so much every day, especially in my budding music/KZbin career. I'm just starting out with making music videos (3 online so far) and definitely the most challenging part is finding/making the time to sing, record, and do everything required to make the music happen while also working a full-time job to pay bills just to survive. I think a lot of independent artists at the start of their careers have this issue, and it's really easy to get discouraged. But seeing you doing what you love every day, making a living doing what you love, and staying true to yourself throughout the journey is so inspiring. All I need to do is watch one of your music videos or listen to one of your songs, and I am inspired and motivated all over again. So I just wanted to thank you thank you thank you so much for all that you do, and I will proudly continue supporting your art. Stay awesome, Taylor. :)

I found your channel in january this year I think and you give me so much motivation for do what I want. First of all sorry for my bad english. I am from germany. I've watched all your Videos in the last 4 months and I also have my own TaylorDavis Playlist. It isn't easy at home and if I don't want to hear my mom screaming I put on my headset and I listen to your music. It is so fantastic and then I can switch into my own world where I can be everyone and I can do what I want. So for example when I'm dreaming i think that you and I make a Video together or I am sitting in front of you and just listen to your wonderful playing in real. Because I think music in the Internet or on the mobile phone is very good but live it is always better and it's just so amazing. So thank you for beeing here and be always like you are now. Strong self-confident and so on Best regards Selina:*

Hey Taylor, has it really been 6 years lol, wow. I have been following you very close to the time you started I think. I had been watching your videos then I came upon a video of you and Lara De Wit and have followed both of you since. I remember leaving a comment about you playing with your mom on piano and you told me it was really your neighbor :/ . I have since been a very close supporter of yours and have enjoyed watching you grow thru the years as far as your videos go. It has been an honor to support you on Patreon and helping to support you for your Album on PledgeMusic. Two of the best choices I have made. You are a very warm talent and I hope and Pray for many more years of the best success. In the end , The Pleasure is All Ours ! All My Best to You!

I didn't know you went through so much in your life I'm glad you persevered because your music is what got me into music seeing it does not have to be all classical but can be things you love too

I'm so glad you didn't give up on the violin :D. I don't even remember how I found out about you and your music but I've been listening since 2012 and I'm very grateful for it. See you in London again soon! ^_^

Back then, I was already used with the simple violin playing in front of the camera. Then, when you started doing music video style and released your first original album. I was feeling grateful because of how far you've come. It is like, I was in this musical journey with you and we (Well, you) made it to the top. Haha And blimey! I can't believe it's been five years since I first discovered your channel. I remembered it used to be called ViolinTay.

You are so amazing and talented, and you have been such an inspiration Taylor! I've been playing piano for nine years and I love it and everything about music! The first 4 years I absolutely hated piano but I went through a really hard time and I guess I just realized that music was the only thing there for me and I learned to express my emotions and cope with everything happening through music. A few months ago I decided I'd try to teach myself violin because I wanted to learn another instrument (it is sounding terrible btw) and that's when I found your youtube channel, and I'm so glad I did! Ever since I've started enjoying playing piano I've wanted to share that love with others and be a professional pianist, or a composer, or something. I always thought that I wouldn't be good enough to make a living from music (especially since it seems like everyone only likes music with words and not instrumental music) so I decided I would just go to college and become a doctor and hope I still have time for piano, and I've always been interested in the medical field and have wanted to help people in that way but piano is what I really love and I want to help others learn to love it too, I just chose medicine because I didn't think music was really much of a choice. Now I'm getting close to graduating high school and you have shown me that it is possible to make something from being a musician so maybe I'll try.

I'm really glad that my older sister introduced me to your channel about a year ago. Then when we found out that you would go on tour in Europe, she immediately reserved the tickets and I bought them in Munich. Turned out, however, that she didn't have the time to come because she had to sign into some of her courses - but I then brought another girl who hadn't even heard about you till that day and I think it says a lot that she was also genuinely amazed about your music (she repeatedly leaned over and said "This is SO cool" :D). It was just such an incredible experience watching and hearing you play live - to be honest, it was the best evening I had since I had begun studying in Munich. In fact, I had to learn for a very important exam at that time and afterwards, I was even more motivated to stay focused on that and I passed it :) Besides, I took up playing the piano again (Salome also impressed me :) and I can say that opened up a lot of possibilities for me. Long story short, I am really glad that you and your music exist and I'll make sure I'll bring my sister along next time you come to Europe :)

Taylor, your story is incredible! I'm so glad you've been able to make music your career! Your covers, originals, and videos are always so beautiful! I really enjoyed learning your story; it inspires me to follow my passions, take risks, and do what I love! I think it is so cool how your love for video games has helped fuel this journey. People tried to twist your love of video games to make it a bad thing, but God has used that love to fuel a destiny, if you will, that is changing lives with your music and story. You're incredible and inspirational, and I'm so glad I've been able to enjoy and be inspired by your music and life.

I remember finding you through Kyle Landry's channel. That was about 6 years ago so I guess I've been following you since nearly the beginning! Time really flies. It's been really cool seeing how your channel has grown, both in view numbers and in quality. I love your work; you were one of my main inspirations to start learning the violin myself as an adult. Congratulations on your success and I look forward to many more years of listening to your music!

it's so amazing that you told us parts of your life! you are a very awesome and inspiring person and I really, really feel sorry for you getting bullied in middle school.:( I have always been afraid of getting bullied because of my hobbies, so playing video games & watching animes etc. And that's also the reason why I've never told anyone about these. I thought people would think of me of a nerd and they wouldn't want to talk or to like interact with me anymore. now I'm 17 and will graduate next year and I finally had the courage to show my hobbies openly! I don't care about others opinions anymore! I really enjoy drawing pictures ( especially video game characters or manga) and recently my teacher asked me to show them to her. she said I'd have the potential to study art at university and so she was quite interested in what I'm drawing at home. eventually I showed brang my picture in school and not only my teacher saw them but also everyone of the Art course. unexpectedly some were astonished and liked my art and I'm so glad about that. my teacher liked them as well but she said I should not concentrate that much on drawing video games and manga but that's because she wants me to become an art teacher ^^'. well coming back to you, you are very inspiring especially when I'm creating art I frequently listen to your music. also that you made your passion to career is a beautiful example. I think that shows that somehow you'll be able to do what you live for. I just hope that I will be able to work for gaming companies, character creation for example etc. I wish you the best luck for your future

Taylor, I absolutely love you!!! You are such a hard working and inspiring person! Im currently in middle school, and i can SO relate to you! At the beginning of 6th grade, i felt like a nerdy outcast. My friends and i were separated into different springs. I had some familiar people in my spring, except most have found and made new friends. (Not that they didn't like me, they just found more people. I love all my friends dearly. PLATONICALLY!) I also participated in a musical while playing the cello in orchestra. And then i also had an obsession in October... UNDERTALE! I couldn't get my head out of undertale. I was overwhelmed with everything!!! I was slowly losing interest, but kept play and love cello!!! Your a great inspiration! The songs i downloaded from you are now Harry Potter Hedwigs theme, Attack On Titan theme, Gerudo Vally, and Song of Storms(Song Of Time). Thank you for helping me in tuff times and being a great inspiration to everyone! THANK YOU!!!

A truly inspiring story. You're a huge musical influence in my life. I never would have though to pick up a violin had I not heard your covers. I'm glad I've seen this channel because the violin is a beautiful instrument that I hope to excel at as the years go by. I'm only in 9th grade and I hope the violin always has some part in my life. Thank you
