As a fulltime Gunsmith for the past forty-five years and woodworker, I have always had deep appreciation for anything that is finely crafted. Be it a fine swiss watch, a beautiful piece of furniture or an RV. After watching this video my mind is made up as to what Manufacturer of 5th wheel my wife and I intend to purchase. Northwood is top-notch and their construction methods are state of the art. Thanks so much for the very informative presentation. Steve C. Mesa Az.

Owned an Arctic Fox 27-5L 5th wheel now for about 5 Years. Yes, there has been some teething issues but once I got Foxy dialed in, it has been a dream to own. We went to Alaska last year and were gone for 3 months and when other people were having some pretty serious issues with their rigs, we just kept on going. Great work Northwood and Thank You for a great product.

This was so fun to watch! We bought an AF 31D bunkhouse model back in late 2014 so we could full-time in the North Dakota oilfield. I was pregnant at the time and had a 3 year old, so I really I needed something I could be confident living in during super cold weather. 7 years later and I am still in love with this camper. It has given our family such peace of mind knowing we had a reliable transitional living space no matter where we landed in the world. Love Northwoods RVs!

I love that they are hand made. Jobs, jobs and more jobs! Note: This was an AWESOME video.

I don't know any rv not hand made. There is no robotic built RV or I would buy it. Hand building has many more mistakes and why the industry as a whole sucks. Robotics is why today's car is so superior to the junk we used to have. It would take a General Motors to once again build RVs to get a robotic build on a production line.

@@pamatthew99 At one time (back in the 70's) GM made motor homes. They were well built and robust and had innovative features you couldn't get anywhere else. They were pricey at the time, but many are still on the road today.

Taylor: My wife and I ordered a Wolf Creek 850 from a dealer in Boise. On our way out to Seattle we stopped into the Northwood plant and actually saw our Wolf Creek being completed. We got the tour and when we came up to the last unit there it was. We have spent 2 month traveling Alaska the Yukon and BC and have slept in it at -17 F. We love it. On to Yellowknife for 2 months this fall. I must say that they had a factory rep who walked us through line by line on what to get right down to the truck. Super nice guy. No regrets. Taylor you put out great video's like usual!

Very cool to see the factory. We just bought an Arctic Fox 29-5K 5th wheel. We LOVE it. One of the things that sold us was how well they are made. Ours is 16,660 lbs. which is WAY heavier than most 5th wheels our length. After touring other brands, it was obvious the quality. PLUS, made in the USA!

I tend to go for products that I know the company revolves around passion, that the employees are treated well or has interesting history. In the same spirit, when I bought an AR15, I got a Widham Weaponery. The brand was the famous Bushmaster. It was bought by Remington and relocated. The previous owner stepped in to help the company restart in the old location so that his former employees would get back their jobs. I support such attitude... Really cool factory tour! Interesting!

I would talk to a guy like me who has had his since 2011. My rubber roof is leaking and deteriorating the lawn plywood up on top. The front plastic is leaking somewhere and causing a bubble to form over the drivers section with all the plastic pulling loose, we drilled a hole to get the water out, also when we had a snowstorm moisture got behind all the corners caulking and push the caulking out when the water froze. I would not recommend this camper. Our 1990 Chinook motorhome that is 21 feet long is built like a large helmet seems in the roof that caused any leaks, we are keeping this vehicle but getting rid of the Arctic fox we will sell it to you cheap. And you can get the repairs done. The interior still looks pretty good little damage in the front right closet where some mushrooms were growing, but we have aired that and dried it out.

After reading some comments and regarding other TC brand videos, their videos are in house and show what they want you to see. This video is done by an actual customer, proven and tested ! Great Job ! I'd hazard to guess your an official AF rep now. Northwood needs to be smart and give you a new Truck Camper every two years so you can show updates and how well they hold up.

Taylor, you are living my life. When I retire in a few years, this is what I want to do. I have looked at Lance and Host truck campers. They were nice but seemed to lack details. I looked at a Arctic Fox travel trailer. The attention to details, fit and finish were superior. I have not looked at an Arctic Fox truck camper yet but like you said, they are all built with the same materials and focus on details. You confirmed why I will be buying an Arctic Fox truck camper. Personally, the video could have been 3 hours long, and I would have watched it from beginning to end in one sitting. Pretty cool to see my truck camper built from the inside to the outside. I think I will watch it again! Great job Taylor, thanks.

Have to say one more thing. I've seen the problem companies we all know construct their units and they are rushing the workers and spitting out garbage that people get stuck with falling apart. In your tour no worker seemed to be rushed and product was one of the best I've seen and I now know why many dealerships are selling out of certain units. Trust me. Here it's hard to find a selection to look at..... Great job Taylor.

We are hoping to sell our 2008 arctic fox 990. We will sell it cheap. The rubber roof has started to leak causing a crunchy noise where the plywood underneath is deteriorating the plastic panel that wraps all around that he smacked his hand on that seem tight. Ours is now loose underneath, and we had to drill a drain hole. ours was filling up with water and causing a big bubble. Perhaps leaking from the front lights or where the front section meets the roof. We have had our since 2011 and have not used much in the last five years these will not last forever we’re looking at 2 to $3000-$4000 in repairs, going to contact Northwood to see what they can do for us or they can fix it and resell it. As a comparison are 1990 Chinook motorhome, which is 21 feet long built like a big fiberglass helmet does not have the laminated plastic that will come loose or a rubber roof which will leak eventually.

Arctic Fox may very well be the best-made RV you can buy for less than a half million dollars. I have a 2006 Keystone Raptor 5th wheel, and it's one of the biggest pieces of poorly-made crap I've ever seen. Nothing in it is laminated; the sidewalls, sure, but they're delaminating. I would like to see more reviews here from someone like me that owns a 2008. Our river roof is leaking, causing a deterioration of our plywood underneath. The plastic has come loose on the front section and collected a whole bunch of water underneath which we had to drill a hole to drain, that could be leaking cab lights. on the plus side we paid $22,000 instead of the 35,000 brand new and 2011 it would still make a good tiny house if someone could build a cover over it and leave it in the yard. Also, the caulking and all the corners started to push out in an ice storm after moisture, got under the caulking and froze. It pushed all the caulking out of the corners.

Really great tour video on how the AF truck camper is built! Having a AF fifth wheel I can't wait to see the details of the building of the RV. It is great to see this much detail as it helps me understand where stuff is so I can either fix it or add to it. I hoping to mount Solar Cells on my 27-5L fifth wheel and I hope you show the details of how the roof is made because watching how they made your truck camper roof, you just don't drill any where as you could hit electrical wires in the ceiling. Again great video and now I going to have to tour the factory too.

Tayler, fantastic video. I am really looking forward to the fifth wheel video as that is what I own know but may be moving over to another brand in the future. It is funny how when you bring up Artic Fox to other manufacturers at shows they all say “they are heavy” I respond maybe they are built better and now you have proved through your video. There is another youtuber doing a video at another companies facility so it makes it interesting to compare the difference in manufacturing. ( I am sold on Northwoods). Happy to hear you finally got to the US and schooled on the correct pronunciation of “ Decal” 🤧

Excellent presentation Taylor. You would be awesome as an Arctic Fox spokesperson.

Great tour job! I've pretty much settled on a Northern Lite now, but I'm still shopping and loved this tour.
