I’m pretty sure that I’ve already given you the song on his song with that I sent you a few days ago. However, I may have overlooked it. There is a video on KZbin where Chris and his wife are giving an interview. He’s talking about how long it took him to write this particular song while his wife was getting dressed for some benefit or award show. The song is called “Daddy Don’t Pray Anymore.” The week my daddy died, my sister introduced me to his song and it was perfect for the funeral. So, this is the song we listen to as they were carrying my daddy’s body out to be buried. In the interview, his wife said that she was getting ready for some awards show or something and Chris was already dressed of course. She told Chris to go sit on the couch and write a song. So, guess what Christa? He sat down and wrote a song in about 20 minutes. The man’s a legend!

I have liked all of your reactions to Chris abd it's what made me subscribe. But watching your reaction to this song mirrored my own. You can't help but just feel whatever emotion his song pulls out of you. Im happily married but during this song I'm a desolate heartbroken woman for sure. Please keep the reactions coming! I sincerely look forward to each one!

Chris performed in the U.K. about 2 years ago. He's currently only touring in the U.S. But keep an eye on tickets to his concerts. He WILL return to the U.K. at some point.

Isn't it fantastic?! Just an amateur video, filmed at a bar or something similar. And the audience is lulled immediately. Love it! He was in the band Jompson Brothers when he wrote that one, I believe. He was also in a group called the Steeldrivers, who did amazing bluegrass. He and the fiddle player made such great sounds together. Thanks for the great reaction! :)

Welcome to the rabbit hole. You really need to do live acoustic version of What Are You Listening To, CMT performance of Arkansas, Saturday Night Live performance of Midnight Train To Memphis and Hard Livin.

Great reaction! Chris Stapleton is phenomenal! Love everything he does! A truly God given talent! Please check out his Aystin City Limit performance of I was wrong. It is amazing!!! And if you like country music. You should check out the country Acapella( no instruments) group Home Free. They are so talented and they are a country leaning group but do sing different genres. Check out their cover of Man of Constant Sorrow. If you do check it out it will be hard to remember that all the percussion and sounds are made with their voices. Thank you for this reaction!

I’d much rather hear an artist live than on a CD or radio. Let’s face it, God has bless this man in so many ways. The man knows how to write a freaking song. The man knows how to play an instrument. The man can sing the hell out of a song! You can’t tell me that he has a personal story for each song that he has written. I think he’s gifted with being able to relate to every song he has written. This man is awesome!

He's better LIVE. Try ANY of these: Fool Me Again (acoustic); Sometimes I Cry (acoustic); Tennessee Whiskey (live at Austin City Limits); I Was Wrong (live at Austin City Limits); What Are You Listening To (acoustic); Either Way (acoustic); Nothing Compares 2U (performed in tribute during live performance just 6 hours after Prince's passing); It's a Man's World (live somewhere in New Orleans when he was called onstage, from out of the audience). There are others, but these are good to start with. Enjoy the ride.🚗🚓🚕🛺🚙

Great job! I’m enjoying your country music journey. I know you played a Eric Church song already but I think you would love to hear his song lighting. Has a great story and you should watch the video on that one. Thx and keep up the good work.

In response to your first pause, where are you said everybody went quiet and listen to Chris. My thoughts are, and excuse my language, I’d say to everyone “STFU, a legend is singing!” Seriously, people talk too much when people are singing. They need to be quiet and take it all in! Just saying…
